CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston Police say Monday night's St. Patrick's Day sobriety checkpoint got six drunk drivers off the streets, but two drivers led them on pursuits throughout the city.

Police say Dorian Jordan didn't even stop, he just drove through the DUI checkpoint. Investigators say he crashed the stolen truck he was driving into a dumpster along MacCorkle Avenue. He's now facing charges in Kanawha County, but police say he was wanted on a charge in Huntington.

According to Police, Todd Miller was also involved in a chase. Officers say he was tossing bags of pot out the window while they followed him. He's now facing several charges.

Police also say they arrested an 18-year-old whose blood alcohol was nearly twice the legal limit. According to police, she said she was a student at George Washington High School.

I agree with the two previous posts. I have seen typos in the last two articles I've read on WSAZ.com. This is news- not a blog.

I understand the message that is trying to be made here. However, it was poorly written by the reporter. This isn't the first time I've seen this. It's just disappointing to see writing and typing errors from a well-known news station in this region. Please take your time and double check your work. It gets confusing when you read sentences that do not make any sense. My example, "The officers detected the odor of pot, gave him his license before he decides before he decides to run from the police he ran nearly hit a couple of officers."

This article is so poorly written that it is almost impossible to understand exactly what DID happen to those involved in the checkpoint. Disappointing.
