IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The man whose body was dragged by a police cruiser likely died from asphyxiation.
That's the conclusion from the autopsy of Guy Thomas. The report also found that Thomas' chest was crushed.
Lawrence County Prosecutor says he will turn the matter over to a grand jury that will determine what, if any charges will be filed against the driver of the cruiser, Patrolman Richard Fouts.
Fouts is on paid administrative leave.

This is truly a sad thing to hear. It really touches home with me because my sister was killed in March 2007 in South Point and you just don't know how to start life without your loved one. I do beleive that Mr. Fouts had to know that he had hit and was dragging Mr.Thomas. I know from personal experience that both families envolved are suffering. While Guys family is suffering the biggest lost Mr. Fouts family is also suffering because now everyone is looking at him and talking about him being a murderer. I agree this does sound like murder but not everything is about race. My sister was white and she was killed by a black man but IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE. Instead of talking all this trash about it being racial start praying for peace for Guy's family because peace is what they really need. As far as all the comments about all the negative things in Ironton, do something about it. Things will not change unless everyone makes it change. This is your home so make the best out of it.
