Two people are behind bars after trying to pay an electric bill with counterfeit money.

Boyd County, Kentucky sheriffs deputies arrested Dorothy Craft of Ashland and Walter Bocook from Chesapeake, Ohio.

According to the police report, they were trying to pay the bill at Kentucky Home Supply on Wolohan Drive with fake money.

As they questioned the pair they also found more counterfeit bills, numerous prescription drugs and cash.

Both are now charged with drug trafficking and attempting to use counterfeit currency.

Bocook was also charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

Both are in the Boyd County Detention Center.

WELL LET ME START BY SAYIN IVE KNOWN THIS GIRL FOR A REALLY LONG TIME AS WELL AS THE REST OF HER FAMILY, HER MOM RAISED 3 KIDS ON HER OWN ALL THEIR LIVES AND SHE WORKED VERY HARD TO GET THEM EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED, EVERYONE DOES WRONG IN LIFE AND ITS A LESSON THEY LEARN AND I HOPE THIS WOKE DOROTHY UP AND TAUGHT HER A LESSON... I read all the comments and am simply amazed by some of them. Sure times are tough, but that does not give anyone the right to become criminals just to 'get by' Also would like to say to Jerk & Jerks Wife that I would be proud to have them live next door to me. Good, honest people with decent morals are getitng hard to find these days.

Thank you, Frank, for your sense of devotion to hard work. I appreciate the work you do so I can stay at home with the kids. I think if more men were like my husband, there would be less counterfeiters and dealers in the world. Not only does my husband have a strong work ethic, but he is a great dad, too. Our daughter is 9 and in 4th grade and can write better than 4/5 of the people writing on these boards. My 7 y.o. son can spell better, too. Concentrate on these things and obtaining an education, and you can get any job you set your mind on. There are many people who have come from poverty and have become doctors, lawyers, teachers, and astronauts. Poverty is not an excuse for being a thug and "resorting" to dealing and other crimes. It also isn't the President's fault either. And Isaac, most businesses don't mind people taking their pens... it is a form of advertising because the company's name is on it.

To-TO FRANK... it is called a sense of humor. Try it. I like his comment. How is telling someone to get a job being a jerk? Are you a jerk? Are you one of the fast food people who is ungrateful and upset that you are working fast food? It is still a job and last time I checked, the money from that paycheck was still just as good as the money from a paycheck working as a salesman. That money still pays the bills. I worked FF while going to college. I also worked 3 jobs in the summer to have money for college. No matter how pitiful some customers would be, I always gave service with a smile. It was MY job to do so. Take pride in whatever you do. Without the customers, I had no job. When you work for someone, you are a reflection of the company. Too many people forget that.

If you call working 3 jobs and starting a small business so my wife can be a stay at home mom so our kids don't turn out to be society sucking counterfeiting drug dealers who wouldn't work if a job smacked them up beside the head being a jerk then yup, that's me. By the way our kids will be able to use decent grammar and spell so they can intelligently post on boards like this. If you think that expecting someone to work for a living and quit whining about what they don't have is being a jerk then I am proudly guilty as charged. Oh and also, about 2/3 of the time I go through a drive thru the people handing me my food do not thank me. I thank them and I'm the customer! No wonder they drop out from Mickey D's University and become counterfeiting drug dealers. I work hard for my living-----signed THE JERK.

I hate it when people whine. It is called personal responsibility. Live off of what you make and not what you wish you make. Believe me, we've done it wrong in the past too. There is much relief when we learned to live within our means, even though it meant not eating out everyday and living with less. We actually don't miss the "stuff" as much as we thought we would. It is also amazing at how my bills get paid when I don't buy so much useless stuff and charge it on a credit card. I also hate it when people at the Fast Food places don't thank you anymore. I am there paying for food and service. I would appreciate a smile and a simple thanks. IF these people got off drugs and got a real job then they wouldn't need to "make" their money.

Oh you people kill me, you act so high and mighty until badluck and misfortune comes knocking on your door then it is a different story?? These big dummies probably got the fake money in a drug transaction and never even realized it! If not they are the stupidest human beings in the world having drugs at home with a bunch of cash and going to the local bill pay center where they try to pass off fake money. They might as well have went to the police auction and bought a house or car ! Whatever they was up to was dum, crime does not pay. I can't stand people who sell dope!!! I also can't stand people who pretend as if they have never stole nothing in there life. You know that pen you took after you signed your name at a buisness or where ever you was is theft! Or the taxes or fees you got out of cause of someone elses stupidity-?!! FOLKS THAT IS STILL THEFT! Just because you don't think anyone knew or was going to get hurt does not make it honest! So call the police and tell on yourself.

One time, about 5 years ago, I received a counterfeit twenty from a local Credit Union- after I cashed my paycheck.....didn't know it was counterfeit until I tried to spend it. I then went back to the Credit Union that I received it from and was told- that I had to turn over the twenty to them so they could sent it to the FBI-counterfeit divison. They would NOT replace the counterfeit twenty with a good one- even though the teller knew I just cashed my paycheck. They said that I should have examined ALL bills before I left the window!!! I only counted the total to make sure that was right....but who would think to check for counterfeit...especially at a bank!!!!!

While I realize we all have hard times every now and then there is NO EXCUSE to counterfiet money. It's a crime folks. This is not the fault of the electric company and it is inexcusable to try to pass off fake currency. Marjorie did you and To me miss the part in the story that stated that they found prescription drugs and cash? That tells me it's not that these poor poor folks are just doing what they can to survive, it's more like they are doing whatever they can to get drugs because they are addicts.

JOB, JOB, JOB, JOB, JOB, 2nd JOB, 2nd JOB. Work for it people. Look at it this way if you make 7.00/hr working day shift at Micky D's and 7.00/hr working night shift at Taco Bell then you would make as much money as someone working one job at 14.00/ hr. By the way, please thank me when you hand me my food.

I think it's horrible that people traffic drugs and make counterfeit money but when you are faced with a cut off notice, like my husband and I are, you start to think about ways to get the money. People can't afford to live anymore. My husband works hard and yet we still struggle. We are not lazy and we would never commit a crime to be able to pay our bills. However, I can't place blame on people who do.

think about it, don't you think it's a shame people were doing it to pay the electric? yea they have other problems and yea it's wrong. But it's also wrong that ordinary people can't pay utilities cause of the high prices of everything. And lord knows the utility companies disconnect everyone on the 31st knowing dang good and well alot of people don't get checks till the 1st or 3rd. THAT's what's a shame!

people would have money to live if they worked, eveyone is so lazy and just expects to get government assistance. If you get knocked up and have a bunch of kids, dont work and do drugs we will give you foodstamps, a huge tax rebate check and low income housing. We make it to easy for peole to do nothing and live

Me, are you saying that it is a shame that "people don't have the money to live anymore" or that it is a shame that they committed a crime? I would hope that you are referring to the crimes that they were committing with the illegal drugs and counterfit cash. There is no justification for either. If people can justify this, they are part of the problem. Lock them up. Thieves cause higher prices for everyone.

We can have it down at the coal festival in Madison people I say invite some real singers who aint got above there raisin like WV adopted son Mr. Charlie Daniels and how about Alabama since they have coal down there to. Invite Gov. Joe and them people from Washington DC that is a good way to find out who is pretending to be a friend of coal and who is really on our side. We could even make Mother Jones bobblehead dolls to give away I for one would like to see her set loose on these tree huggers that have invaded Cabin Creek trying to run off her beloved coal miners. You could pull a string and she would say #** !!##**!! Tree huggers.
