LOGAN, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities say an 18-year-old man fell at least 40 feet to his death into a waterfall within southeast Ohio's Hocking Hills State Park.
Park rangers say the man wandered off a trail near Old Man's Cave Sunday morning, then slipped off a cliff and tumbled into the Lower Falls at the cave.
Ranger Mark Bryant with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources tells multiple media outlets that a fellow hiker pulled the man out of the water and began CPR. But the 18-year-old was pronounced dead after emergency crews arrived on the scene.
The man's name was not immediately available.
