CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Charleston parked his car Friday and decided to ride his horse to work in protest of the high gas prices.
Bob Lee is from Scott Depot. He's a nurse at CAMC Memorial.
He says there's not a day that goes by his co-workers don't talk about gas prices. That's why he decided to make a statement during the morning rush hour Friday.
Bob brought his horse by trailer to Verizon along MacCorkle Avenue and then jumped on her for a ride to CAMC Memorial.
It took him about 20 minutes to get to his destination.
Bob told us he didn't have to be at work until Friday afternoon so he planned on taking his horse back home before he started his shift.

My only issue with this is the horse has had bad farrier work, he obviously has a tendency towards toeing in, a good farrier can help with this.. He is toes in and with this type of hoof issue he will develope joint problems, possibily founder, and other skeletal problems will surface if he doesn't have his horses feet done properly.

Am I understanding this story correctly? He drove from Scott Depot to Kanawha City pulling a horse trailer (which uses more gas) then rode his horse a couple of miles, then turned around, loaded the horse into the trailer and drove back to Scott Depot with the trailer, then drove back to Kanawha City that afternoon for work? Wasn't his point to protest the gas prices? He used 3x more gas in his protest! I'm sorry, maybe it's just me, but I don't understand how that helped anything.
