By now, you've seen the video of a Florida teen severely beaten by several girls.

Two girls from Hurricane High School fear the same could happen to them.

The girls say they've been threatened and verbally abused.

Their parents say they've complained to the administrators, but nothing was done.

Last Friday, one of the girls claims her head was smashed against a wall.

The school's vice principal one girl has been suspended for three days.

The parents took their complaints to the Putnam County School Board, who plan to investigate the situation.

To Jennifer who asked about the wisdom of bringing media attention. These 2 girls have more courage and ethics than the bullies 1) they are speaking out against the bullies and 2) they are going about this in a LEGAL manner. The bullies obviously pick on the girls when there are not any teachers around. Thus proving they are the cowards! Cowards do things when they think they can get away with it! Another point, think about victims of any crime they are afraid to speak out but some of them muster up the courage to speak out. This will get the attention of others to speak out against the bullies!! If you see them being bullied STAND UP for them. Be the hero!!

Posted by: Anquan on May 8, 2008 at 10:55 AM
These bullies typically grow up to be cops. Then they can continue their bullying ways through police brutality.

Posted by: Anonymous on May 7, 2008 at 10:08 PM
ya know if i knew these girls who are getting picked on i would stand up for them. and if i knew who the girls who were doing the bullying i would definitely kick their butts for doing it. no I've never teased anyone thank you. i sit back and mind my own dang business. yeah i think its wrong but what am i supposed to do when first off i don't know the girls and second off i wasn't a witness to it. i didn't even know about this until the day it aired on the news. YEAH THANKS! don't judge people by what they write on this .. this is for opinions about the topic not about what comment someone left. yeah i believe that they need to stand up for themselves because if you go to hurricane you would know that when people say they are going to do something like that, NO ONE DOES ANYTHING! so yeah i think they should stand up for themselves.

I have to agree with most of the posts here...it boils down to parenting. 3 days is not enough and I thought WV had a zero tolerance for bullies. 3 days is just a vacation to a kid like that. I don't think they should ever be suspended or expelled. The kids enjoy it. More time for internet, television, etc. They need to stay at the school in the principals office ALL day and do their work. They aren't going to like that at all. Remove them from the mainstream but keep them at school.

I agree that these kids get by with this crap because their parents are idiots. I say kick these bullies out of school because their just on their merry way to the welfare office when their 18 anyway. They are raised ignorant and their just gonna turn out a bunch of welfare bums anyway dont let those skanks rub off on our children!!!

How do you stop a bully? Let's face it. The schools boards really do not care. well they do but only in the legal sense of avoiding a lawsuit. The people running schools today are in it for retirement only. They want to process kids through the standard generic lesson plans because the law requires it. You'll find that there is only a small handful of teachers that are in it for the love of teaching. They can only do so much. The rest - play favorites and try to treat these kids on the same adult level. Hello! They are not adults! Since when does beating someone up - really proves anything? Parents go to youtube and look at various videos that teens put up of them kicking the crap out of each other. Lots of other wild stuff you'll see there, too. Be warned, it isn't pretty. But wake up everyone! Pay attention to what your kids (our kids) are posting pictures about on Youtube, myspace, facebook and countless weblogs. And the kids will lie about it to you, but pictures don't lie.

I graduated in 1983 and all durung my high school years i was bullied. I eventually said enough is enough and hit the bully in front of his friends. You will be amazed at how quickly they back down. Make a stand and be willing to accept the consequences of your actions. I bet they will be few if any. Tell the principal he decided not to do anything so you have taken care of the problem!!!! We need to stand up for ourselves more.

Posted by: Nadine on May 7, 2008 at 12:55 PM
No one should be blaming the principal, school board members, or especially the VICTIMS for this ongoing bullying. The parents of the bullies should be held fully responsible. Kids act like their parents, or how their parents instruct them to. It is heartbreaking that so many teens commit suicide and bring guns to school (go crazy) because of bullying. But I remember what it was like. At the time, nothing else matters but ending the bullying. If only we could convince the kids that after high school life goes on. You never have to see any of them again if you don't want to. And for the bullies to understand, once high school is over you will never make it in the real world. Bosses and large corporations do not tolorate bullying.

Posted by: Anonymous on May 7, 2008 at 12:46 PM
These bully need to think after school is over and they are out they will grow up and have kids of there own and they need to think and ask there self a question. What if one day your child is being bully how would you feel.

Posted by: Jack on May 7, 2008 at 12:33 PM
I have to agree with Billy Fannin. If UTube was held responsible for what is shown there, a lot of this wouldn't be happening. Like anything else there has to be demand and supply.

Posted by: Michelle on May 7, 2008 at 11:41 AM
Ok. Are we forgetting the fact that most of the school fights anymore are advertised on YouTube or some other internet site? Why don't the parents take away the cell phones with cameras and the regular cameras and computers from their kids or put the parental controls on their computers? If the kids can't act right with what they are given, take it away. If you want them to have a cell phone for their safety, get them a kiddy cell phone that only calls home and 911. Block the stuff on their computers. BE PARENTS!!!! Bullies have been in schools for YEARS. We might not be able to get the bullies out, but we can take the "coolness" out of being cruel to other people by not letting them have the tools (i.e. camera phones) to advertise this stuff on the internet and have their friends and other people make them feel "cool" or "bad" by doing it.

I am so thankful and fortunate I went to a small school. Yeah, we may not have the option to take all the classes the bigger schools offer, but with Buffalo, there is such a wonderful atmosphere, where almost everyone is friends w/ everyone else. It's like a team where eveyone works together.

Posted by: Phyl on May 7, 2008 at 09:45 AM
I am not at all surprised about the comments I have read regarding bullies. They are in the school systems - whether we like it or not. The "educated idiots" of which I am proud to say I am a retired one, can not solve all problems. True, many times the school systems does not react as fast as we would like! There are steps that have to be followed. We may not like these steps, but yes, some of these kids get chance after chance. Yes they are suspended, documentations has to be done, juvenile petitions need to be filed, and then there is a meeting to see if they qualify for alternative school. I'm not saying that we need to physically fight back, but something needs to give as far as the bullies being able to beat the system. They know how to work their parents, the school system, and even the judicial system. Some of these kids would brag about going to court and all they would receive was probation. Not all of the bullies are trouble makers, some are considered the best and brightest!

Posted by: Melinda on May 7, 2008 at 09:34 AM
These stupid little punk bullies school systems are not wanting to take action because they affraid of them as well. I have a friend where she was bullied the mother went to shady high three times they said, "THERE JUST KIDS ITS A PHASE THEY WILL GET OVER IT". Then one of the bullies father beat up her boyfriend then the school still didn't take action then they tried to beat her up and she called her mom and the teachers were watching and because of the bully pointing a finger in an adults face the mother pushed her hand away and the school pressed charges on her. THESE KIDS ARE LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF THE PARENTS. Schools don't want to get involved but one you do they will sue you. I think pay raises for teachers and schools need cut since there not benefiting any help for kids and they sure arent learning anything. I would love to put all of your stupid punk bullies in a room and give them a dose of their own medicine....Paybacks suck.

You have hit the nail on the dead. I have raised my kids, that if they would ever tease someone, I would be so dissapointed in them, and would hurt my feelings. My children have nice things, and those nice things could easily disappear as quick as they appeared, and they know it. If I would ever hear my child making fun of other kids clothes, I would take everything out of thier closets, except one outfit, and I would make them wear it for two weeks straight. My kids know I would do it too. I assure them of this fact frequently.

Posted by: Anonymous on May 7, 2008 at 08:29 AM
After being picked on in school because my parents couldn't afford the name brand cloths, I can understand what's going on. I never told anybody because I was to ashamed. I didn't want anyone to know. I felt so alone. I had very little friends in school and I just didn't want to be there. I hated school because of this. I did go to an alternative school one year to make up credits from the previous year absenses and when I was there, I fit it. I had friends there. Friends that had my back. Things for me never got to the point of the girls in Florida but to this day, I regret not standing up for myself. Fight back, do not live a life of regret as I have. Take a stand. Anonymous at 11:38, if you're so tough why don't you stand up for these kids. It sounds like you're a witness, how about bringing that to your beloved principle's attention so he can do his fine job. I'm also guessing that you have done a little teasing yourself huh? Why don't you take a stand and go to bat for these kids?

Posted by: Anonymous on May 7, 2008 at 08:19 AM
Bev, you nailed it on the head. 20 some years ago I had a bully for the better part of the year and my favorite fantasy involved a shotgun and his face. Some people don't want to fight with a bully but eventually enough is enough. So instead of the Mayberryesque fist fights that some people are advocating here, the bullied brings a weapon to even the odds a bit.

Posted by: Joe on May 7, 2008 at 07:49 AM
Hey anonymous, Kids go to school to get an education not to get bullied and have to "stand up for themselves." This isnt a prison camp it is an educational system. If the kids doing the bullying are effecting the education of other kids, the bullies need to go. Your attitude is what leads kids coming to school with bombs, guns and death wishes. Adults should remove the bad apples from the system.....

Posted by: Donna on May 7, 2008 at 07:41 AM
I SAY, send the GIRLS that are causing all the trouble to some kind of military camp for a week and see how they like being pushed around!....MAYBE THAT WILL WAKE THE BRATS UP!

Posted by: A on May 7, 2008 at 07:28 AM
I agree send the Bullies to lock up !! See how they would like to be treated without respect.... Bullies are IN ALL SCHOOL'S. I hate it for the girls that are being tormented it is no fun. ALL you have to do is go to your local state police they should do something about it. God Bless and I will keep you in my prayers.

parents have taken their complaint to the School Board. Why did they not file charges for assault and battery. Then complain to the school Board.

Posted by: putnam co on May 7, 2008 at 02:49 AM
Replace the teachers send the bullies to juvanale and give them a taste of what being locked up is all about.

Posted by: Bev on May 7, 2008 at 02:16 AM
Three day suspension? Why don't they just slap her hand and make her promise to be a good girl? This is why kids do not want to go to school. All this crap about "Safe school zones" is just that. If they tell on these bullies they are told to "toughen up". If we do not want another Columbine we BETTER do something NOW.

Posted by: Anonymous on May 6, 2008 at 11:38 PM
You know what. I go to Hurricane High and yeah stuff happens like that. But these two girls need to stand up for themselves. Half the people who talk crap to other people just try to look bad in front of their friends. If these two girls would stand up for themselves they would more than likely stop making fun of you and what not. And to all the people talking ab out Mr.Hart(principal) it has nothing to do with him. He has enough to deal with and not just a group of girls not being able to get along. GROW UP AND ACT YOUR AGE. Seriously, you're in high school. We don't need a new principal, Mr.Hart is fine! He just can't do anything if there is no visual proof of the fight. For all he knows it could've happened at the bus stop or off of school grounds then he has nothing to do with it. Threats are going to be made in school, or at home, on the computer, or through and text message .. get over it. stand up for yourself. have some respect for yourself!

Educated idiots sums up most teachers found in the goverment education system. What educated person spends 4 years in college to be a teacher then complains about the low pay? Did they not know about the pay before wasting money on an education degree? Now you actually expect these same people to be able to deal with a real problem. All dictators are bullies. The only way to deal with a bully is to beat the crap out of them. Break the cycle. To the panty waist who says "fighting never solved anything", explain that to the Europeans who were freed from Hitlers rule. Some people do not understand anything but violence. Never depend on a county employee to do anything productive. Take care of he problem yourself. Warning, this may require fighting. This may require a man to man talk with the father of the bully. I am sorry, in this age of fathers not acting like men (30 and 40 yr olds playing video games, wearing their pants below their butts) this may be an impossible task.

Putnam County School System Needs To Clean House!! What's sad too is the verbal abuse that some of the Putnam County teachers dish out with nothing being done or said to them. This verbal abuse takes place right in the classroom in front of everyone without any respect for the students! How can they ever complain that the students are disrepectful when they themselves display such behavior. When the students see/hear teachers acting this way...people they should be able to look up to...no wonder they are acting out in such violent ways.

There is a definite problem in Putnam County--Middle School level with past principles Mr. Messinger/Mr. Barber, now Mr. LeMaster AND high school level (our particular issue was with Ms. Welch). My husband was once told by one of Putnam Counties finest principles (NOT) that when our child got on the school bus each day, our child was then in the school board's custody! Scary thought, huh?? Our child was bullied for years. We always taught our children not to fight. After awhile, the bullies realized this and the harrassment worsened. After being taken to the hospital one day, we changed our way of thinking and from then on taught our children never to start a fight, but if someone started on them first..."LET THEM HAVE IT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT AND MAKE IT COUNT BECAUSE YOU MAY NOT GET A SECOND SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Educated idiots is the best way to describe most of our educators! The bullies need their butts busted by their parents...forget about what Spock says!!!!!

please i went to school with a girl who supposedly had a hit list on the football and boys track team along with others at the school, she was suspended until a psych eval was done on her. my brother was on a hit list in middle school bc he was smart and on the football team. we both survived hurricane hs and now we are sucessful college graduates. there were plenty of girl fights and threats and all was dealt with by the principals to the best of their abilities. school officials cant touch a student there would be lawsuits in a heartbeat. so ask for your officials to do something and i guarantee if they tried to help you would slap a lawsuit in no time. so please let them do what they are allowed to do within the laws (which by the way, you parents pushed to have because you thought that the school officials were doing then and look what is happening now--they cant touch your kid with a ten foot pole)

Posted by: Linda on May 6, 2008 at 09:11 PM
What is wrong with the principal? He is supposed to be in charge and if he can't handle the job maybe they should find someone that can and will. we should be able to send our kids to school and rest assure that they will safe. Doing nothing only makes things worse. These girls will not stop until they are made to stop. I say send them to alternative school for the rest of the year and look for a new principal for next year.

I think it's a shame that kids have to be scared for their lives at school.! I went to hurricane high 2 years ago. I dropped out for the simple fact that you have to be rich and preppy to graduate that school. No one ever messed with me cause i didnt let them but i think there needs to be more staff there at hhs. In my eyes and gods eyes we are all the same. We shall not be treated differently because we are poor or not popular. WE ARE ALL GODS CHILDREN! Are we or are we not.? This is crazy that it had to go to the news because hhs wasnt solving the problem. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO????

Posted by: Anonymous on May 6, 2008 at 06:42 PM
Well the florida beating of the teenager was horrible. I dont think any of them girls should even be out of jail.. People Like that are scum.. And for the two teenagers that are being threaten they should of told someone... And after this hole thing hitting the news it might get worse.. But the two teenagers should press charges if the other girls do anything.. And two the girls that are trying to beat up on these two other girls.. You better think. Because if not I guess your parents will see you in jail. That will be a nice strike on your personal records... Have fun getting a job after high school. Because you wont be able to.. Your lifes will be horrible.. And all i would do is laugh about it.. Because you try to be cool and threatin these girls so you can put it on youtube..

Posted by: Kasey on May 6, 2008 at 06:14 PM
I blame the parents of these 'bullies.' It is crazy how these kids get away with things like this. If it even came down to my children getting bullied to the point that going to school was uncomfortable that is when I would make the parents of that child uncomfortable. It makes me sick!

Posted by: TS on May 6, 2008 at 04:57 PM
I think it is a shame you can not send your children to school without them being teased and called names and the threats of fights. If you don't fit the popular kid's mold then they make fun of you. This is a lasting impression on people who are developing and trying to find their way. This causes low self-esteem and other unhealthy impressions of one's self. What happen to the "Zero Talorance Policy"? I'm tired of my child coming home and not thinking he is worthy enough. He is called a "wigger" and several other racially triggered names. He is white and a very good kid and likes to wear his clothes a certain way and I'm sick of other people with racial issues always picking on him. SHOW RESPECT TO OTHERS!!!!! YOUR NOT PERFECT BECAUSE YOU WEAR AMERICAN EAGLE!!!!! I would rather have my kid any day. At least he has respect for other people and doesn't make fun of them because he feels inadequate and has to belittle people to make himself feel better. WHAT ARE THEIR PARENTS LIKE

Posted by: Anonymous on May 6, 2008 at 04:46 PM
The "credible third-party" thing is the case in a LOT of situations like these. Not just at Hurricane High. Not just in Putnam County. Why? That's the million-dollar question. If I were WSAZ, I'd start asking the school board in just about any local county why this is true.

Posted by: bbv on May 6, 2008 at 04:42 PM
The reason these girls runs with a group is because they don't have the gumption to fight one on one. Maybe the parents of these girls have issues as well or they , the parents, would step in and stop it. I know I would if it was my child. Remember when you got in trouble at school you got it worse at home. Whatever, happened to those days?

Posted by: EP on May 6, 2008 at 04:31 PM
Girls/boys being bullied and having their life threaten IS NOT NORMAL!The persons bullying want to cause problems & should be held accountable. The staff should be held accountable as well for allowing such a horrible offence to go on. Maybe the school staff should be sued for allowing endangerment to students. If they were held responsible then the fighting and gangs would lessen.Along with this issue, whatever happened to the girl that brought the air dart gun to HHS? What about the fight where the teacher at HHS threw the boy into the other boy and crused and said fight it out? What is the deal with the janitors pulling students from class to do their jobs What about kids having sex at school while teachers and adminstration just look the other way.HHS must have a weak staff for this to have continued.I'm sure there are some good teachers there but the Principals are the ones to take these matters into their own hands and be held responsible.Good Luck, will be watching for the outcom

And another thing, one of the 8th grade girls who bullied me many years ago is now a police officer -- ironic, huh? She knows who she is. I'm glad that she changed her ways AND friends and put her life to good use. I get a sick feeling in my gut every time I see her. THAT is what bullying does. It affects me to this day. DO NOT let this continue.

Posted by: Violet on May 6, 2008 at 04:19 PM
I was a victim of bullying by 8th graders when I was in 6th. I'm in my 30s now. It was a whole gang of girls. I remember the feelings vividly and feel for these girls. The fear of walking in the halls, going to the bathroom, on the bus after school -- no one should ever feel that way. My grades dropped and it ended with a full blown fist fight with a girl I'd never spoken to. I'm glad the mother is speaking out because that is about all she can do -- legally that is. I sure hope she happens upon these bullies with no witnesses. Knowing how it changed my life, I'd NEVER let my child experience it. The administration needs to nip this in the bud ASAP before something really bad happens. If it were my daughter, I'd be her personal body guard everyday and I'd bring along my Louisville Slugger for batting practice after school. This should not be allowed to continue and if it does, the parents have no alternative, but to take care of it themselves.

Posted by: 1995 Graduate on May 6, 2008 at 04:00 PM
I went to school back in the day and things like this happened but it was never as bad as it is now. Kids are cruel. Just sitting on my back porch listening to how they talk and acted has changed so much since I was young. When I was a kid I acted up but never would I do it in front of adults. These kids are disrespectful. Kids today have no respect for their parents or there peers. I think it needs to start at home. Teach your kids to have respect bust their butts. Make them stay in their room, take away belongs. Dont wait until they become a teenager and try to start taking control. My personal opinon is that our youth today have too much and dont appreciate anything!

Posted by: jm on May 6, 2008 at 03:09 PM
It is about time we do something about students being bullying. The admin. IS responsible for the safety of students. What I see is the teachers and staff are afraid of the students. So the allow the bullying to continue.

This happens every where. I recently had to try to get help for a certain situation where my son was being bullied at school. It was a complete nightmare, everyone just wanted to pass the buck.

Posted by: Anonymous on May 6, 2008 at 02:44 PM
I posted a comment earlier today...earlier than the ones shown below with the times of 10:21am and 11:09am. However, mine isn't posted as of yet. My question is why? Is WSAZ too concerned about the reaction of the rich and famous of the Hurricane area to post it? As mentioned before, I don't know the individuals involved, but I have personally had issues with the Hurricane district schools. It's all about who you are and what you have!!! If Teays Valley would get a hard rain storm, half of the population would drown because of their noses being up in the air!

This is also happening at Hurricane Middle School, My grandchild had to leave that school with a little more than a month to go over bullies, they tormented this child, and the principal acted frustrated and like I was burdening him to even discuss these bullies, I had several meetings with the principal and this did not even attempt to stop these bullies, sounds to me like Hurricane has an all around bully problem

Posted by: Renee on May 6, 2008 at 01:45 PM
This is another prime example why public schools are a total let down! This is also another reason why I send my kids to a private school where they are taught to respect one another. More people should stand up to this and demand better care and supervision of the students in all schools!

How can the administration let something like this continue--especially when this particular gang's assaults on students at Hurricane High are being recorded and posted on YouTube? Is the recorded act not sufficient evidence of their conduct during the school day? The "zero tolerance" policy states that such behavior will not be allowed. Suspension is clearly not the solution for this group of females, due to their repeated disregard for others, as well as the school's rules. No less than automatic and immediate expulsion to an alternative learning environment should be mandated for this posse in order to keep innocent students from being victimized daily within their educational setting. What happened to the 'safe school act?' I am appalled that Putnam County officials are continuing to look the other way while students are being threatened and harrassed continuouly each and every weekday. Why is this group allowed to run rampant? Are they threatening the administration too?

Posted by: Barbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:44 PM
Those two girls need protection and it is up to HHH administration and staff to provide it. Every child is entitled to attend school and feel safe. Those doing the harassment need to be removed from the school. When a threat such as "slit your throat" is made, I would seriously be concerned for my child. Anyone bold enough to make such a threat could be bold enough to carry through with it. How frightening for the parents involved. Action needs to be taken before a major tragedy occurs.

Posted by: Anonymous on May 6, 2008 at 12:39 PM
These kids need to learn to fight back. I did see the video of the girl in Florida and that girl never took a swing to defend herself. I think that I would rather have a taken beating from my mom and dad for fighting than to live a life of regrets of not standing up for myself. Fight back, defend yourself. I know people tell you not to hit but you have to take a stand.

Students that are doing their best to get a good education are being penalized these days for doing the right thing. It's time that the so called "popular kid gangs" be stopped. Aren't there alternative schools for these types? What about the Bullying Act? These two girls need a safe environment in which to learn, and it is up to the school officials to provide that instead of turning their heads. Protect the innocent.

No comments from the people of Hurricane? Interesting!

Girls fighting with each other at a local high school is not news. This is something that is completely normal.

This is terrible to hear that this is going in our "our" community. Something needs to be done immediately about this situation. Schools are just getting too big...not saying that it doesn't happen in smaller schools.

Do you really think its wise to bring this to the publics attension? Im sure the students at that school probably know which two girls this is and the bullying will probably get worse after this. Hopefully, this will open the eyes of the administration and they will make harsher haizing/bullying rules and take threats made against the victims more seriously.

This happens all the time at H.H.S. girls are worst than boys too!

This is a outrage bullying needs to be stopped period the girls doing this need to be put in an alternative school until they graduate I don't condone this behavior the maximum punishment should happen these threats should be taken seriously suspenions are only a vacation from class I find this rediculas and repulsive enough is enough stop the bullies bullies don't win

hurricane is a big Joke.

i think girls need to grow up. What is the point in doing this. Like the florida video that was so horrible.. All i can say to the two girls that are afraid is if they touch you. Press charges. If them girls cant grow up. Thats there fault. But dont let them just hit you and beat you up. Defend your self.

The Hurricane school district SUCKS!! My family has fought the system on numerous occasions over the past several years. The schools are full of Lexus, BMW, Audi, Mercedes-driving snots who think they are better than everyone else. It's all about social stature, and the lesser human beings seem to get shoved through the cracks!! Please note, I'm not condemning all of those who drive the above mentioned cars, but take a look around the area and open your ears...you'll see exactly what I'm talking about! I don't know the individuals involved in this situation, but in ours, the principles/teachers need some backbone and need to stand for what's right and not be concerned about what an individual's last name is!

This type of thing is getting way out of hand. The parents of the threaten girls should give up letting the school handle it and take it to the police. I was in their shoes back in high school and going to the school only made it worse for me. The school I went to tryed to handle it by talking to the kids that were doing it and that only made it worse. They needed to call in the parents and talk to both but they didn't. I know things have changed but unless the school involves the parents then this will go on. When a kid can even got to school without being bullied then the school system has failed the child. Parents need to teach their children from an ealy age that this is wrong. And teach them not to follow the crowd be their own person.

Do you people really think that suspending a student for 3 days is really going to make that big of a difference? The chances are is that it is going to happen again.

Posted by: Debbie on May 6, 2008 at 08:00 AM
suspended for 3 days for smashing a students head against a wall? expel them and make them go to an alternative school. I bet they'll find out how "bad" they really are.

I hope the parents are able to get something done. My son is a special needs student who once attended Cammack Jr. He endured a solid 3 years of bullying. If you read the school bullying pamphlet that is distributed each school year, there are no "teeth" in it. The principal was the worst. When my son was in a bathroom stall, others tried to pull his shoes off underneath and spit on him over the top. The principal wanted to punish him for not doing his work the next period. He needed to "get over it". "bullying is a part of life" she told me. I told her that if she were to be accosted in the bathroom, I'm sure she could not get back to business as usual so quickly and would likely call the police. Our kids' rights do not stop at the door. I threatend that I would call CPS if they continued to "neglect" my child. Further, I would have her arrested for as an accomplice. He did not return the following year at that school, but she cant help others at her new school.

Well of course nothing is being done! What do they expect? School systems are the most bully-promoting places in this country. The fact that they have these so-called "anti-bullying programs" is an absolute joke. Do they really not know that children model the actions of adults? They don't just act a certain way because you tell them to. Wake up.

I just don't understand kids these days! Bullies have always been around, but now they take it to such extremes! If my kids were bullying classmates at school I would want someone to let me know so that I could try to help fix the situation.
