WINFIELD, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Three malpractice lawsuits against a former surgeon have been settled for nearly $2.5 million.

These are the first of 124 lawsuits involving Dr. John King. The lawsuits claim King botched surgeries or otherwise harmed patients during the six months he worked at Putnam General hospital.

There's a hearing later this month to talk about settling nine more of the lawsuits.

124 suits?Where is he running his butcher shop now,since all the AMA seems to do is like the Catholic church use to do is let them do it in another state and most all states licenses boards will not let anyone know a DR's past.Talk about a secrete club!!
