HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Hometown girl Katie Lee Joel is back for a visit with a brand new cookbook in town. And you know what they say, “If it's good enough for Oprah..."
Katie Lee Joel is stirring up some home-style goodness with her new cookbook, “The Comfort
Table.”
Joel says there’s nothing like being back home.
"I think a lot of my friends think I lead a glamorous lifestyle because I’m married to a rock star. Sometimes we go to red carpet events and get all dressed up. But for the most part, I’m still a homebody," Joel said.
And you know she's home when she's talking about fresh ingredients for her recipes.
“Go to the farmer's market or 14th Street West in the mornings and pick out some of the great local produce. It’s a great way to support local farmers and give back to your own community,” Joel said.
Katie will be at Borders bookstore in the Huntington Mall Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m. to sign her book.

Just got my copy of your book and I love it. I am also from Huntington born and raised there. Wish I could have been back home with you so you could sign my copy of your book. You and Paula Deen rock. Billy Joel is one of my favorite entertainers. Sincerly, Ann McCartney
