HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A house being repaired was burglarized according to a report made to Huntington Police. The house was in the 300 block of Slater Court. The complainant claims that some interior doors were stolen from the dining room, and that copper piping was cut from the water heater. The complainant also said work was being done to the house, and that the workers were in charge of securing the doors.

Huntington Police took a report that a car was stolen from the Chevron in the 2200 block of 8th Avenue on May 14th. The victim said they ran inside the store for a moment and the car was left unlocked and running.

Huntington Police say a residence in the 600 block of 17th Street was broken into between May 10th and May 14th. The thief took a 42 inch TV, a Laptop, a computer monitor and more. All of what was taken was worth more than three grand. The report stated that a window in the basement had been knocked out, and that a knife was found on the couch.

While it angers me that people take what is not theirs...I still wonder why anyone would leave a car unlocked and running. I wont even do that in front of my own house. I hope they get their car back...and I hope people will learn from this...save your car and save gas...take the keys with you!

This is crazy they would rather do dmething about break ins before drugs.I do understand where they r coming from but, what about drug dealers.HPD says they r trying to do all they can do but , r they really. NO because I have called in my self about drug dealers and havent seen one cop.If HPD cant do their jobs then y do we have them? I have seen with own eyes ppl shooting up dealing drugs and nothing happens. I guess its not as important as they say it is or they would try to do smething about it.They need to make a trip up to 10th ave and 12 st but they cant do that. Because I can look out my door and see it all day long the more I call in the madder I get.So I am defintely gng to tell ppl not to move to HGTN because of the drug dealers and HPD that we have.So what do they get paid for dng nothing taking out tax money and paying for them to set on their butt.I dont think so.So I figure I would let u all know how poorly r HPD is. It hurt when they arent trying to make Hgtn better.

Well what do you know. The H.P.D Donut Gang just got spoofed again. Imagine that. These people are a waste as Police Officers. Why dont the Mayor put these clowns on the Trash Trucks where they may do some good for someone. And let the Cabell County Sheriff and State Police take care of the Law Enforcement. The H.P D donut Gang is a discrase.
