I know that absolutely nobody reads this anymore, but for somebody that may, here is a nice update: yes, he still has his supporters. He is doing absolutely fantastic! He has a wonderful life making more money than he ever could have teaching. He still plays piano for his church and for several classical solo pieces. He is still teaching; no, not in school, but his knowledge and passion for music is still being spread and absorbed. He and his wife have a wonderful relationship. You know, they always ask, "why do bad things happen to good people?". Well, after all of this, I believe I have the answer to that: they can handle it. They know who to look to. Mr. Jones still inspires so many with his strong devotion to God. He knows that there is something much greater than this life in the future: a life that he will have the opportunity to enjoy. Yes, while he did plead guilty, he is innocent. And yes, I say this with complete knowledge and confidence. Other issues came into play, such as: caring too much to risk losing his children, dragging this out with added stress on his family, etc. As a law student, I know how these things work now. No evidence? Go with the kids. Kids never lie. Sadly, this isn't true, but it's something that we must deal with in Law Practice. I'm very honored to know Mr. Jones in and out of the classroom. He's an extraordinary person, and such an inspiration. God Bless you!
I guess the Scott Jones supporters can be very proud of themselves today!
still in court.
