CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The same mine where two men were killed back in 2006 is now the scene of another fatal accident.

A state spokesperson says a man was electrocuted Friday Night in the Aracoma Mine in Melville in Logan County.

An underground electrician was electrocuted while repairing a shuttle car. It happened in the Alma Number One Mine.

The victim is 24-year-old Nathan Dove. He is from Chattaroy in Mingo County.

A state inspector is at the site. Keep clicking WSAZ.com for updates throughout the day.

Ellery "Elvis" Hatfield and Don Bragg were killed back in January of 2006 in the same mine when a conveyor belt caught fire.

I grew up with Nathan and he was a really great friend. He will be sadly missed. You couldn't have asked for a better person. Joyce and Thomas you raised some of the greatest kids that anyone could have ever asked for, and I can only imagine what you are going through. It breaks my heart for you guys. I just want you to know that I'm proud to say that I grew up and was friends with such a great person as Nathan. I know that things may be hard now, but please remember God has a reason for everything he does. It may not be clear right now, and we may not understand, but all you can do is put it in his hands and let him take care of it. I Love You guys with all my heart. Please know that you are in my prayers.

Mary, I knew you through a friend of mine several years back and I just want you to know that I will be praying for you and your family. I am so very sorry for your loss. My husband is also a miner and I can't begin to imagine the pain you are going through. Our Church is praying for you and I hope that God can give you comfort through this difficult time. My prayer for you is that God will give you strength to endure. We will keep you in our prayers in the upcoming days also. God Bless You and Your Family!

A very tragic loss. I just wish young people in our area would realize their are better jobs out there than working in the mines. Better yourself and get out of the mines so your family NEVER has to go through this. It is not worth it.

I would like for the family to know that my thoughts and prayers are with them. I can not get Mary out of my head. These two individuals (Mary and Nathan) were made for each other. One could only hope to experience the love that they had for each other and there beautiful lil girl. You don't see to many happy/loving family's now days and this was one of the few. The whole Dove family has been through alot the past few years and I know with there strong religious beliefs they will make it through it. Again, your are on my mind and in my prayers If you need anything please call. ~K.Thompson

You really need to learn to read, last time I checked, fatal meant that some one passed away. I'm really sorry if this comment bothers someone in the family, but that comment bothered me. its hard to say for sure what really happened, but these coal operators put so much pressure on the men that sometimes they do things that they wouldnt normally do just to keep a job. yea sure an operator cant fire you for not working unsafe, but they will find a reason down the road if you dont perform to their real standards(not what they tell the media) every coal operation should have to be union so that the men has someone that really has their back, because the state and federal government sure dont mine inspectors are the biggest joke i have ever seen. they look over dangerous situations that would cost the company down time and write violations on stupid things like a blown headlight on a piece of equipment.i am just disqusted with the whole thing. people like don blankenship needs to stop spending millions buying politicians like spike maynard and spend it on a safer work environment for the men that made him a millionaire.go UMWA!!!!
