CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say they got more than 40-thousand dollars worth of marijuana off the streets.
The bust happened around 1:00am Wednesday morning in Whitaker. That's in the Paint Creek Area of Kanawha County.
Deputies say when they served a search warrant at Robert Lee Smith's home they found 22 marijuana plants and four high powered rifles.
According to investigators, Smith is prohibited to carry a firearm as a result of a 1992 conviction.
Smith was arrested and charged with cultivating marijuana and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Deputies say Mitchell Dean White was also arrested in connection with the case. He faces a cultivating marijuana charge.
Deputies say the marijuana has a estimated street value of $44,000.
