GODBY HEIGHTS, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Logan County Sheriff's Deputies say a driver under the influence of drugs hit and killed a pedestrian Monday night in Godby Heights.

It happened on Route 10 at around 10 p.m. in Godby Heights. That's about five miles south of Chapmanville.

We're told by family members the victim's name is Norman Sprouse.

The driver, Chawndala Vincent of Lake, is charged in the wreck with DUI causing death, driving with a suspended license second offense, no registration and no insurance. Deputies tell us she admitted to snorting Xanax before getting behind the wheel.

Vincent posted bond Tuesday afternoon and is now out of jail.

To Lauren, we the family really don't care that you are anyone else is posting wrong. It really makes me sick all of you with these attitudes that have nothing to do with the pain the victims family is now going through. I would you suggest everyone, unless you sincerely care about the victims family find something else better to do then post on here.

Snorting pills just makes it work faster. I disagree with the driving part. Do it for recreation and don't put others at risk. Say no to driving.

Posted by: ToPain on Jun 5, 2008 at 10:08 PM
We are not against pain patients. You probably go to a legitimate Doctor. Come to Williamson and look at the people at these Doctor Offices. The only ones there with burns on their body burnt themselves nodding off while high. There are some Doctors in Mingo and Kermit who need shut down. Everyone who knows what I am talking about should post.

TO:Chick on Jun 5, 2008 at 05:15 PM I AM NOT FROM LOGAN COUNTY!!!! I AM NOT EVEN FROM WEST VIRGINIA!!! REGARDLESS YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE STORY AND NOT JUST LOOKED AT THE PICTURES! THAT IS HOW I KNEW THAT EVERYONE WAS POSTING WRONG I ACTUALLY READ THE STORY! DID YOU? THEY ARE THE LINES THAT ARE MADE UP OF ACTUAL WORDS UNDER ALL THE FLASHY PICTURES! IT SAID DRUNK DRIVER? IT SAID SHE WAS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL WHILE DRIVING? DID IT? THAT IS NOT WHAT I READ! MAYBE IF WSAZ POSTED THE STORY WRONG THEY SHOULD APOLOGIZE FOR THE BIG MISUNDERSTANDING!!! WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS THAT WSAZ POSTED THIS STORY THE FIRST DAY AND IT STATED IN THE ACTUAL ARTICLE SHE WAS DRINKING AND DRIVING?? IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING?

Posted by: Chick on Jun 5, 2008 at 05:15 PM
To Lauren, it DID say that on here, the first day. Maybe it just wasn'tposted in your Logan County Picture Book.

Xanax isn't even a pain pill, it's for nerves. Nervous people should not drive either.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jun 5, 2008 at 04:29 PM
Xanax is not a pain med it is a nerve medicatin that is not meant to be snorted. No one said anything about taking away pain meds. She is abusing nerve medication, using it a way that is not meant to be used and operating a vehicle after misusing this medication.

Posted by: Beth Ann on Jun 5, 2008 at 04:20 PM
I dont think she should have gotten bail. I hope they throw the book at her. I don't have no sympathy for people like this. She knew better and also knew she wasnt even suppose to be driving. As for outlawing all pain meds, get real, alot of people do need them. Too bad, we can't get rid of the ones who abuse them.

Posted by: Mingo on Jun 5, 2008 at 03:58 PM
The pills are coming from Doctors in Mingo County. Lonnie Hannah do something.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jun 5, 2008 at 03:43 PM
To Pain: I don't think any one commenting on this page is saying that pain medication is not necessary sometimes. However, the way some of these doctors are dispensing drugs like it is candy is of concern. This girl apparently was abusing drugs to get high and not to help her recover from an injury or an accident. I don't think you snort pills when you are using a pain medication as it was intended to be used. There is no excuse for her actions. She cost someone their life because of her addiction. If people like her want to abuse drugs, they need to be willing to pay the price. I hope and pray that her price is 10-15 in the pin!! May God be with the victim's family to help them through this horrible time. A loss like this is hard enough, and it is even harder when you loss someone because someone acted wrecklessly.

Did you know? This pedestrain was walking off the road not into traffic. There was no oncoming traffic so if she would have swerved into the other lane this accident would have been avoided. Did you know? That she continued to go down the road and when she returned she proclaimed that someone threw a cinder block at her car. Did you know? That her mother was in the passenger side of this vehicle also proclaiming that someone threw a cinder block at her vehicle. Did you know? That she showed no remorse, no tears for taken anothers life. Did you know? That her and her mother claimed that she did nothing wrong. Did you know? That she failed all field sobriety tests given by the Deputy. Did you know? That she admitted to the deputy that she snorted Xanax prior to this accident. Did you know? She claimed that she seen this man get up and walk after the accident. I would tell you more facts about this incident but I wish to spare the family who lost their loved one.

Posted by: Fact on Jun 5, 2008 at 01:16 PM
IT is a FACT that there has got to be some justis for this ordeal.becouse this man died for a no good reason. and that is WRONG.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jun 5, 2008 at 11:48 AM
I do think doctors should also be accountable for the drugs they prescibe. anyone on a control substance should have to go in when ever called for a pill count and a urine test. That would stop them from selling and misusing the drugs somewhat. I have to take a narcotic to sleep. I would be more than happy to have to show my count and how much is in my system , but i have yet to see where any prescrption states on it "snort one pill before getting out and driving"

Posted by: amber on Jun 5, 2008 at 11:40 AM
shes a no count pill head she doen't deserve to live her life

Posted by: P. Head on Jun 5, 2008 at 11:28 AM
She should have stuck with pot. At least it doesn't kill people. At least there's no scientific proof or suspicion of it.

Posted by: logan co girl on Jun 5, 2008 at 11:21 AM
Yeah true, at one time or another everyone takes meds or nerve pills... But you take by mouth YOU DONT SNORT EM... Sorry Thats abuse.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jun 5, 2008 at 10:25 AM
I agree with you 100% Pain. It's the addicts and abusers that need to be "outlawed". This type of person is why it is so difficult for those who actually need the meds to even get them. Ridiculous people making ridiculous comments. Prayers go out to the Sprouse family, loved ones and friends. I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Posted by: Pathetic on Jun 5, 2008 at 10:06 AM
This is pathetic. Pass up the jail cell on on to the death chair. She took the liberty of getting drunk and snorting Xanax. When she is found guilty in this murder, she needs hit with her own car. What people can't see is, drugs are killing people in WV. The doctors just keep prescribing them and then they are sold for money and wind up in the wrong hands. This story is just pathetic. God Bless Norman Sprouse's family. Justice will be served.

Posted by: DDCJ on Jun 5, 2008 at 08:58 AM
My prayers are with the family members of the deceased. I am so sorry.

Posted by: Ryan on Jun 5, 2008 at 06:33 AM
Beth, She took the life of someone else by her own irresponsible actions. We don't need more sympathy in this world. We need more justice, maybe then people will start thinking before they turn to this way of life. and by the picture above, "beautiful" is the last word I would use to describe her.

I am tired of hearing all of the stupid comments from people with limited thought into what they say ! I was in a house fire 3 yrs. ago and over 90% of my body was burnt,my nose and ears were completely melted off my face as well as my fingers on my left hand which were as well melted to the bone !! When I awoke in the hospital I not only found that I was half melted but there was pain like no other any one could ever imagine except those in the burn unit screaming with me!! WITHOUT PAIN MEDS PEOPLE MY LIFE WOULD BE OVER CAUSE I WOULD HAVE TOOK IT and at times without some help going to sleep I wouldn't have gotten any sleep !!!! You on here talking out your rears have no clue. It is those who abuse that need to be gotten rid of not the pain meds! Or perhaps you would like to awake one morning in the burn unit to find pain meds have been outlawed!!!

To:Beth on Jun 3, 2008 at 02:11 PM Would YOU be so forgiving if SHE was the one in the morgue right now? I WILL pray for the forgiveness of you niece and I will also pray that God gives me strength to do so! Sometimes I find that I have to pray real hard not to hate someone this is one of those cases.

Posted by: nightshade on Jun 5, 2008 at 12:29 AM
Put the responsibility where it needs to be--with the user, not hte prescriber. I am sure that if these drugs were prescribed to her the directions were not to "snort one pill every eight hours". She knew what she was doing and she should have to pay the price. No sympathy here for this wasted life. Get her off the streets. I am sorry for her family and more sorry for the person who she murdered who will never see another sunset or hear grandkids laugh.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jun 4, 2008 at 10:49 PM
I think that until all the facts come out about the incident, and the investigation is complete then who is anyone to judge. Okay so she admitted to doing xanax, but who knows how much she actually had in her system. I personally think that there needs to be some kind of control of the drugs that get prescribed these days. The state makes money off of people that is on the methadone and suboxone. These are suppose to be drugs to help get off drugs, but what I have seen they are just as bad as anything else. There is no kind of regulations as to how long someone is one these drugs and people go pay the state for them and leave and drive home. How safe is that? Why is it that people want to set and judge when something bad happens and not try to make situations better before the bad happens?

Maybe she should have to be present for the embalming and all preparations of this victim. Also, what if she had to dig the grave as well?

To:MK on Jun 4, 2008 at 04:47 PM All I see is the video and it has been like that since I was on here today! I guess maybe you have a special computer that lets you see what you want to see! One question for you do you like picture books? I have a 3 yr. old that loves picture books maybe when she is done with them you could barrow them! :) P.S. DUI is the act of operating a motor vehicle (and even a bicycle, boat or horse in some jurisdictions) after having consumed alcohol, or other DRUGS, to the degree that mental and motor skills are impaired.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SOMEONE CAN GET IN A CAR AND TAKE A CHANCE AT DYING OR KILLING SOMEONE ELSE(AS IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME)SOMETHING MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THESE CASES.THIS WOMAN LIKE MANY OTHERS IF SENT TO PRISON WILL GET A WAY TO GET DRUGS IN THERE TO.THERE NEEDS TO BE A MAJOR CRACK DOWN ON DRUGS AND ALCHOL.AND THEY STOP SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES.DON'T U THINK DRUGS AND ALCHOL SHOULD BE MORE OF A CONCERN THEN IF I WANT TO SMOKE A CIG.IN A PUBLIC PLACE?AT LEAST SMOKING ISN'T KILLING ANYONE IF I DECIDE TO LIGHT ONE UP IN MY CAR GOING DOWN THE ROAD.PUT A BAN ON BARS AND ALCHOL AND THE USE OF DRUGS.THE THINGS THAT IMPAIR OUR VISION AND MOBILITY.TO MANY DOCTORS HANDING OUT DRUGS TO PEOPLE WHO MORE THAN LIKELY DOESN'T NEED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.MAYBE THE DOCTORS NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED TO.START THERE BY GETTING THEM OFF THE STREETS.I WOULDN'T BE AS FORGIVING AS THE VICTIMS WIFE.I WOULD BE FURIOUS KNOWING SOMEONE KILLED MY HUSBAND WHO WAS MORE THAN LIKELY ILLEGALLY ON DRUGS.

wow she must be guilty if a deputy says she admitted to snorting xanax!!!! No trial here, just take her out back and shoot her.Lord knows that if the deputy says she said it then she must be guilty. HHmmm i wonder if i should believe everyting i see on the news,if so then Bush was right iraq did have WoMD.My prayers go out to the victims family, may god be with u in ur hard times.

I cant believe this woman is already out on bail.... The man she gave no regards to when she ran him down was my husbands uncle, this woman deserves no sympathy, she deserves a jail sentence. Stop slapping these people on the wrist and start making them realize there are consequences for their actions. Dont do the crime if you cant do the time. You reap what you sow!!!!

Posted by: Sandy on Jun 4, 2008 at 06:17 PM
Maybe if they send this girl to prison for about 10 years, she will get off of the drugs. No sympathy for her, she killed this man. The drug addicts need to stay off the highway because all they do is kill innocent people.

MK you need to look and read again , no where in the article or video does it mention beer ot alcohol.

Lauren, if you look at the photo beside the article, it says DUI with beer bottles. Maybe you can read but can't see.

I wish you guys would read the story before posting comments. That is part of what is wrong with the people in this country they only half read and half hear any media story and then form opinions about things they don't even bother to comprahend. Read the WHOLE STORY let it roll around in your head a little while THEN make your posts! I just read at least 3 posts that were talking about alcohol and alcohol had nothing to do with this situation,or at least it WAS NOT mentioned in this article.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jun 4, 2008 at 04:18 PM
Why does everyone keep saying she was dringing. In the story that is just a few sentences long , it says she admitted to SNORTING XANAX. SHE WAS ARRESTED FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS . Drunks are not our only problem out there , we drive out there everyday with many on drugs. We need to put a stop to BOTH !! Prayers go out to the victims family , a life gone just because she wanted a high on drugs .

I have to say that its my belief that drugs and alchol not only ruins these two people but the families of both parties and their communities... sick sick sick

I agree with Charles. This could've been a child. She should lose her life because afterall, she did take one. She'll get hers one day.

To the this ladies aunt... Good people make bad decisions every day. We need to realize that every decision that we make affects others in one way or any other. Any time you get in the car while under the influence, you take a risk, and unfortunatley you have to pay the price. What your neice did was a selfish act that resulted in the loss of an innocent mans life. She needs be held accountable for her actions, and that means more that 12 hours in jail. From her past convictions it sounds like that she has not learned from her past mistakes. As her aunt, you should try helping her instead of enabling her. No accountability and too many people enabling junkies is what is wrong world country.

Posted by: anonymous on Jun 4, 2008 at 02:51 PM
This is no doubt a nightmare for both families. Although I hate the situation, I am glad that now maybe Chawndala will get her life together. She along with the majority of her family have dealt with drug abuse for years. Hopefully this will make them all realize that they need help. My prayers go out to both families.

Posted by: J on Jun 4, 2008 at 01:58 PM
I have acquaintences that used to work with her, the sad part is that she has been doing this sort of thing for years, and it took the death of someone innocent to get somebody to notice. Too bad they set the bond so low that she didn't even spend a day in jail... Logan County, we are all watching,, justice needs to be served.

I am fed up with this drug/alcohol problem in our area/country! Why is it that we can't prevent some of these drugs from getting into these people's hands? Aren't they prescription? Who's writting the Rx? The news said Zanax, where did it come from? I think doctors need to be held accountable too. Some will write Rx's for anything you say is wrong with you. All you have to do is google the drug to see what it treats and tell the doctor you have all those symptoms and wah-lah - here are your drugs! They need to do a better job evaluating these people before handing out pills. As far as the alcohol goes - why do we need it? I know not a single person who drinks for medicinal purposes or just a drink here or there socially. They all drink to get a buzz or better yet - DRUNK! We have to do better! There are too many bad things out there that are legal and available to us. My prayers to all involved, maybe someday we'll do better as a society to protect each other.

R.I.P for the innocent pedestrian!!! This woman is old enough to know better than to get behind the wheel of a vehicle under the influnence. I will tell everyone just like i told my sister you made your bed and you lay in it. My sister is 26yrs old and has a drug problem and she was just in a car accident in April with her 2 daughters ones just turned 1 yr old and the other is 4yrs old. The 4yr old ended up with a broken leg which she had to be flown to UK Hospital. Yes it could have been worse but still my sister is the blame for this. She has 2 charges on negelect on both children and what they sentence her she deserves it. I don't feel sorry for her or any one else who gets behind the wheel under the influnce. They need to go to prison and pay for their crime!!!! God Bless the family that lost their love one!!! Your in my hearts and prayers!!

It is sad that this man's family has to pay for the poor judgment of this woman. She needs to take responsibility for what she done because no one made her do the drugs and then told her to drive. Yes, God does forgive and she has a second chance the man she killed does not. He stepped out into eternity whether he was ready or not; He did not have a choice in this situation. I believe she should be put away to the full extent of what the law allows. This is not her first offense I have read and She may very well be a nice person but there are alot of nice people who have gotten mixed up in drugs and when you commit a crime you must pay. That is what is wrong with our country today People do not want to take responsibility anymore for the things they do and the justice system doesn't help the situation either. We need stiffer penalties for crimes and maybe people would wake up. I pray for the family that lost their loved one and the girl. what a terrible tragedy both ways.

I was once addicted to zanax for 2 or 3 years. I can see now that they make you do crazy things as if you were drunk. I made alot of mistakes while on those pills, I didn't kill anyone though and I am reminded everyday of what my life was like while on zanax. I just thank god that I got off of them because I could see my life going down just like this girls life is. I pray for the family of the guy that she killed and I pray for her also.

Beth, your niece is a pathetic drug addict who ran someone over with their car and killed them while snorting pills, with no registration or insurance. Judging by that mugshot and her actions, she isn't any where near a beautiful person. I hope the family of the one killed exacts some vigilante justice on her for this, because the court won't do what needs to be done.

Posted by: To Beth on Jun 4, 2008 at 12:40 PM
Noone needs to know anything else about her. She broke the law, by her own decision, and now will hopefully face real consequences. I'm sure, like every other person who has committed a crime, she ia a beautiful person, an angel, never woul have done something like this, but got caught up the wrong crowd. Sound about right? Then your supposed to say.."Judge not lest ye be judged. There's only one judge" even though that is TOTALLY out of context. The problem is not people's desire for justice, but rather attitudes like yours. You come immediately to her defense with no apparent remorse for the man that was killed or his family, insisting that SHE is suffering adequately and implying THAT should be enough. God may forgive her, but she still owes her dues to this family and society!

Posted by: DKHill on Jun 4, 2008 at 12:31 PM
She cant be out of jail -- she will just do more drugs. I feel sorry for the mans family and they must feel sad that she is out on bond. Kids will never learn parents need to be more involved in their lives. I think she should have to stay in jail but you know this is Logan County-------Thank you for letting me speak

Posted by: anonymous on Jun 4, 2008 at 11:35 AM
Beth: It seems obvious that the fact that this was not her first offense, and that she was SNORTING Xanax tells a great deal about her personality, lack of concern for herself, and her complete disregard for others. I am sure the regret she will feel for the rest of her life in no way compares to the grief and pain the family of this innocent man will suffer the rest of their lives. I will pray for all involved, but wrong is wrong reagrdless of her being a beautiful person.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jun 4, 2008 at 11:16 AM
I think it is outrageous that someone would get on this post and defend her. If she is "going through" something right now, it is her own fault. Mr. Sprouse’s family's pain was caused by her lack of concern for others. I do not have any sympathy for someone who does drugs and gets behind the wheel of a car and takes someone's life. If she wanted to mess her own life up that is her decision but now she has affected another family with her drug use. This young lady needs to learn that you reap what you sow!!

Posted by: Joanne on Jun 4, 2008 at 10:59 AM
To Beth, with all due respect, Chawndala's actions in this event resulted in someone's DEATH. No matter how hard her life has been previously, it doesn't bring back the man that will never have the opportunity to grow old. I don't know what she's been through up until this point. I, myself, have been left while in the hospital fighting for my life, broken my neck, been scalped requiring 650 stitches, battle a couple of diseases, & am raising twin 17 month olds. Point is, if you dig deep enough, almost everyone struggles with their own demons. Difference is that I don't get behind the wheel of a "loaded gun" after getting high & carelessly take another's life. You are right about this Chawndala having to deal with this for the rest of her life. As it should be. I hope she finds God & gets clean. Thing is, the man she killed will never have any other life experiences to enjoy or battle through. That's what isn't fair. Snorting Xanax suggests serious drug use. Time to sober up.

Posted by: J on Jun 4, 2008 at 10:50 AM
SHE HAS BEEN ON DRUGS FOR AS LONG AS I REMEMBER. SHE IS NEVER GOING TO CHANGE. TO BETH: QUIT TRYING TO TAKE UP FOR HER. SHE IS A LOSER!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Debbie on Jun 4, 2008 at 08:42 AM
Beth, stop making excuses. She chose a course of action that killed someone. Do you know what his family is going thru? This is obviously not her first offense. And being how my family pays dearly for insurance it really irks me when people drive without it. Had he lived his family would likely be stuck with huge debt and may be stuck now with funeral expenses. No accountability whatsoever. She's a big girl and needs to suffer the consequences.

Posted by: No sympathy for the driver on Jun 4, 2008 at 08:40 AM
What else is there to know about her? I know she admitterd to snorting Xanax. I know she was driving on a suspended license. I know she had no insurance. I know that a man is dead as a result of HER actions. This isn't "This is your life." This is a story about a woman who was driving under the influence that took a man's life. How is WSAZ adding to the pain? She is a grown woman and chose to do these things. WSAZ didn't make her get behind the wheel, she chose to. We all have choices to make, and are responsible for the outcomes of our decisions. It is now her time to be accountable. You can't sugarcoat this. A man is dead, and if she is snorting Xanax, I think it is safe to say it's not the first time she used them. And you talk about her pain, what about the people that knew and loved this man? I think that would constitute pain. She is feeling sorry for herself and is now thinking about the repercussions of her actions, which should have been thought of before.

to the lady who said this woman is ur niece... she should feel bad for what she did.. she killed someone because of her own ignorance...if she was gonna drink she should have had someone sober to drive her home or wherever she was going. i have had 2 family members killed by drunk drivers and there is ABSOLUUTLEY NO EXCUSE FOR IT!!! let someone in ur family get killed by someone who is drunk and knocked out on drugs and then see if u feel bad for that person....she should be put in prison and recieve the death penalty...THIS IS MURDER!!! i have no sympathy for her WHAT SO EVER!!!!

As a matter of fact, I do know this girl. She is a big time drug user and has been for the past several years I've known her. Addiction is a cop-out. Get off the pills or mix them with your methadone and die.

This may be your neice, and your right this is the only thing that most of us know about her but she took a mans life because she would rather snort drug then to be a responsible person. Did you know that she used drugs? Did her family? You deffending what she did is allowing he to continue this path. Her family should have done whatever it took to get her help.

A Lot of Teens and Adults out there are on their PRESCRIBED XANAX Drugs Driving, Selling or Snorting these DRUGS. Some our on 4 or 5 of these MIND ALTERING DRUGS! It is OVER-LOOKED in the schools etc. and NO ONE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT THESE DRUGS! When these people COMMIT Small or Big CRIMES,they blame their DRUGS! They get away with MURDER as in this case! When are people going to WAKE UP! Over HALF of the STATE of WEST VIRGINIA is on these MIND ALTERING DRUGS and DRIVE! These DRUGS are Legal for Students,Teachers, Parents,or ANY ONE to take while DRIVING and HIGH on them! These are also STREET DRUGS! No-One wants to ADMIT IT! It the DRUGS of CHOICE for Families to help them as they say to "TO COPE and THINK" on their jobs, in the schools,or everyday life, and DRIVING on ROADS while taking them! MOST people you see out there REFERRED to as MENTAL ARE ON THESE PRESCRIBED DRUGS,thats what put some of them in this MENTAL STATE of MIND! Talk about HOOKED on DRUGS, MESSED UP ISN"T IT ?

I know this girl and her family. It is very sad that the drugs has led her to the death of another person. This should be a wake up call to her friends and the other family members in her life that are using and abusing the drugs also. So many people in our community alone has died of drug overdoses,(usually involving methadone and zanax, or oxycontin) its like WONT YOU PPL WAKE UP!! Its gonna catch up with you. She is someone who has fought a battle with the pills and lost. It is sad for the victim and his family that they would have to pay for her sins. But remember she will always have to live with what shes done. I do agree that God forgives, and I know if it was my family member, I would want her hung also. Jail seems mild. But remember she is only human. She and her family will be punished everyday for what shes done and the innocent life she has taken. My prayers go out to the victim and his family, and also Ms Vincents family.

We know enough about her to know that she doesn't care to hurt another. She should've put the drink down and called a cab or a friend. But, instead she took someones life. I hae no respect for her and I hope someone gets ahold of her for doing this. She needs to be hit with a car to see what its like. You reap what you sew, it's time for her to reap. I'd hate to see what his family is going through. They are in my thoughts and prayers. May she pay her life for the one she took.

This was our uncle. We may not know anything else about your neice other than this incident, but this one incident took our loved one. I pray she gets the help she needs, but obviousley this wasn't a first offence.

It would be another story if it was a family member of the judge. How many people have to die or get hurt from someone under the influence before something is done permanantly?? Just pray for justice to be served for the innocent in this case. My prayers are for the poor victim's wife and family during this tough time.

i was looking at the jail website and it is ashamed that the girl is already out on bond.. killed a person and guess what she out in less then 12 hours maybe until her court date... how does this work.. they need to put her under the jail......... the laws in LOGAN country it depends on ALL WHO YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!!! AND I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU CAN GET OUT OF TROUBLE IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE IN THE COURTHOUSE.....

It's a shame that it takes a death to get peoples attention around here. They need to be more strict on people and maybe sad tragedies like this would stop.

you need to find out wher this girl got the drugs and hold them accountable also. The war on drugs will never be won as long as you only arrest the user's. That is where the system goes wrong. But this girl will be the one they use to set an example. Not the DEALER!

This is my niece! Do you not think that she is going through enough, without your news station added to the pain that she will live with the rest of her life. She is a beautiful person and everyone only knows what has happened now. Do any of you know anything else about her other than this incident? Likely not. That is what is wrong with this world today, everyone thinks they know everything about someone else and in all honesty they know nothing. God forgives why can't we?

she should be put to death... and so should the judge and jury that let her go after the first DUI.

What kind of drugs? I thought it said she was drunk.

There simply is no excuse for this type of "murder" to happen. Ms. Vincent should be given a fair trial within days, and if found guilty, taken out back of the courthouse and executed. This would be fair and equal justice and in the process, send a loud and clear message to others about driving drunk.

There is no excuse for her.If she had the money to buy booze, then she had the money to call a cab.Drunk drivers should never have a second chance. The law should be more strict with drunk driving.Zero tolerance, and no second chance.Lock her up and keep her off the road.

She needs to be locked away for the rest of her life!!!!
