HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Strong storms have been moving through the WSAZ viewing area Wednesday afternoon.
Check out the video clip above of a lightning bolt in Lloyd, Kentucky. This was e-mailed to us by e-Reporters Matt and Amy Boggs.
So far, we're getting word that the one of the hardest hit areas is in Lawrence County, Ohio. Dispatchers tell us there's high water on Route 93 near Pedro in a flood-prone area. We're told some homes were evacuated, but so far, everyone is okay.
Callers have reported nickel-size hail in Grayson and Cannonsburg.
In Gallia County, Ohio, dispatchers tell us one person was rescued after driving into high water on State Route 218 -- about 6 miles north of Mercerville. Emergency crews say the driver is okay.
A creek and poor drainage is a bad combination in weather like this. Business owners in a shopping plaza along Diederich Boulevard in Russell, Kentucky, discovered that Wednesday afternoon. Several businesses were flooded by the high water.
The fast moving storms blew through Huntington. The winds blew part of a tree into a house along 3rd Avenue near the intersection of 31st Street. It happened just after 8:00 Wednesday night. No one inside the house was hurt.
It was a similar scene along 4th Avenue in Huntington where a tree was blown over. It happened right downtown just after 8:30 Wednesday evening. A tree was uprooted knocking a street light over into the back of a car. No one was hurt and 4th Avenue was never blocked.

There were several of us stranded at the Lawrence Furnance Church after the burieal of a loved one. We are very Thankful to the members of the Church that was stranded with us, and I pray that there is no permanent damage done with the approximatly 3 inches of water that was in the fellowship hall. The Members worked very hard to try to keep the water out and to preserve the Church and was concerned for our safety. Thank you, Lawrence Furnance Church.

Dont take chances I couldnt agree more. I was stunned when I saw the news last night. When Randy talked about walking in chest high water, Randy is very lucky he didnt become the Story with rescue crews trying to recover him. What is even worse is some first responder may have died trying to save him, Shame on you Mr. Yohe for putting yourself in a position to become the story. I lost alot of respect for you yesterday.
