COLUMBUS, Ohio (NBC) -- The Ohio Legislature has approved three wheeled vehicles for use on the road.
It was part of a massive spending bill that cleared the Ohio House and Senate on Tuesday.
So, If the vehicle has three wheels, fits one person and uses no gasoline at all, what do you call it?
Is it a car or a motorcycle?
There is such an electric vehicle made in northeast Ohio. The yellow NMG could be the car of the future or is it motorcycle of the future?
Pop the hood, it's all electric power. There is a seat for one person. 2 wheel drive with the front tires. The rear wheel provides all the torque. And at the moment, it's illegal in Ohio.
Kammy Willis of Myers Motors said, “A few months ago, suddenly somebody interpreted the law a little bit differently and said it needed to have a saddle.”
There is no saddle in this three wheeler.
The reporter drove the little yellow rig around. Everywhere he went, it didn't take long to gather a crowd.
Everybody had an opinion.
Jasmine Reynolds said, “it is smart. Attractive, I don't know. But it is very smart.”
The trunk is six cubic feet, enough room for a full cart of groceries.
David faith said, actually it's pretty spacious for how small it looks from the outside.
NMG, by the way stand for no more gas.
The battery range is 30 miles before you have to recharge.
The vehicle could be a perfect fit getting to work and back for 80 percent of all urban commuters.
Most other states have already legalized three wheel vehicles just like this.
In fact, California gives you a financial incentive if you own a car like this NMG.
One other incentive, the reaction from strangers when you drive by.

To Mike: DON'T BE HATIN!!! I get behind people all the time from Ky and WVa that creep along like snails or try to run me off the road like Mario Andretti. Don't throw rocks, glass house boy.
