CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- We now know the identity of West Virginia's newest millionaire.

Lottery officials tell WSAZ.com, Terry Brumfield bought a winning lottery ticket at a Little General store in Harts in Lincoln County on Wednesday.

Brumfield says he already had bought five other Powerball tickets when stopped and bought the winning one.

Brumfield is 65-years-old and from Lincoln County. He was given a check during a news conference at the West Virginia Lottery Headquarters. Brumfield is a construction worker and after the news conference he went right back to work.

ORIGINAL STORY
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- If you bought a lottery ticket recently, you better check it.

A million-dollar ticket was sold at a little general store in Harts in Lincoln County, but no one has come forward to claim the prize.

The person who won matched all five numbers and missed the Powerball.

The winner will be the sixth person this year in West Virginia to win a million dollars through the lottery.

That is the highest number ever.
