UPDATE: Man Arrested in Ohio Triple Fatal Crash

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man accused in a hit and run crash that killed three and injured another has been arrested.

The Ohio Highway Patrol says Paul R. Riggs Jr., 30, of Waverly, Ohio, was arrested around 11 a.m. Wednesday on Germany Road in Pike County, Ohio.

Riggs Jr. has been on the run since June 24 when troopers say he was driving on River Road in Pike County, crossed the center line and hit another car.

Tina L. Ogier, 35, and Mary Jane Cooper, 19, both of Beaver, Ohio, died in the crash. Ogier was pregnant. Her unborn child was also killed.

A 14-year-old passenger in Ogier's car was injured in the crash.

Riggs Jr. will be held in the Scioto County Jail.

He is being charged with three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one county of aggravated vehicular assault.

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Police are searching for the driver of car that took off following a crash Monday night that killed two women and an unborn child.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Paul R. Riggs Jr., 30, of Waverly, Ohio, is wanted on three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of aggravated vehicular assault.

Troopers say Riggs was driving east on River Road in Pike County about 7:30 Monday night when he crossed the center line and hit a car driven by Tina L. Ogier, 35, of Beaver, Ohio.

Ogier’s car caught fire following the crash and a trooper suffered burns as he tried to get the occupants out.

Ogier died in the crash along with her unborn child. Also killed was Mary Jane Cooper, 19, of Beaver, a passenger in the car. A 14-year-old boy who was also a passenger in the car was hurt.

Following the crash, Riggs fled the scene on foot. He was last seen wearing black shorts and no shirt.

WAVERLY, Ohio (AP) -- Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol are looking for the driver of a car who fled a southern Ohio crash that left two people dead and a 14-year-old boy injured.

The two-vehicle crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. Monday in Pike County.

Troopers say two adults and the teen were in a Plymouth Breeze that was hit by a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, whose driver then fled on foot.

The two adults in the Breeze died at the scene. The teen was in stable condition at a Columbus hospital early Tuesday.

The Breeze caught fire after the crash, and a trooper suffered burns as he tried to get the occupants out.
