MADISON, W.Va., (WSAZ) -- It couldn't 'bee' stranger than this. A man in Boone County is facing charges he stole a bee hive from his neighbor.

State Troopers also say Michael Graley the Second took an air conditioning unit and a cement mixer while his neighbor was away. In all it was more than $2,500 worth of property.

Graley is from Emmons that's right near the Boone County Line. He is 26 years old.

Troopers say he is linked to some other burglaries in the Emmons area. The victims are his own family members.

Charleston is pretty bad too its just that peaole dont hear it as much because they think the redneck places get more ratings... Im sick of this.... Look around your town and see how many druggies and stuff there are there... Then we can talk about Boone....

I have to contest my conviction there has been to much BUZZ in the media about this and I do not want to be a victim getting stung by all the attention

Boone County doesn't raise them too bright. Maybe if you can't take the heat, you need to get out of the kitchen (Which means move back to where you came from). I'm sure they won't notice you're gone. BYYYYYYYYE :0)

...The police led a sting operation. I am , though "bee-wildered" by some of these comments!

First of all not everyone is related in Boone County and I for one do not like that ole saying. Some of us are from other states, we came here because this is where the work happens to be!So clean up your own back yard before you start looking at your neighbors. And yes we do work and have never been on welfare! We might not be the smartest people here but we don't mistreat our family and we are proud of our home town! Can't say anything good don't say anything .

That is so funny. What was he planning on doing with that bee hive? I wonder if they stung him?

Anonymous, do not bring religion into this. I know of a few God fearing people that can profess that their children will do no harm when they are in fact spoiled brats. If people cannot take the responsibility of teaching their children right from wrong and discipline them when they do wrong they should not have children in the first place.

My usual comment..."Stupid is as stupid does". Funny thing is, I know of the guy and know he's too ignorant to use a computer and will never see these comments.

NOW SCIENTISTS KNOW WHERE ALL THE BEES HAVE GONE!

What on earth would someone steal a bee hive for, I mean what is the world coming to? We need to do something about what are country has become. It's like people have no respect for themselves.

Posted by: Chick on Jul 4, 2008 at 12:42 PM
How stupid. That's Boone county for you.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 4, 2008 at 12:19 PM
It's sad to hear of young people involved in lives of crime like this but what can our society expect? We don't discipline children according to the Bible and then when they grow up and don't understand that there are consequences for their actions and that they have to submit to authority and love their neighbors as themselves, they grow up to be criminals. It's time Americans started not only reading the Bible and professing to be Christians, but live our lives by it. Every year God is taken further out of our society and every year our crime rate increases as a nation. Go figure!
