CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The buzz around Marshall University
next week will be about the importance of honeybees.
About 300 beekeepers will join 12 vendors and dozens more
presenters at the Heartland Apiculture Society's annual conference
starting Thursday in Huntington.
Anyone can attend. Registration is $15 per day or $40 for the
entire three-day session.
Nationally, the number of honey-producing colonies has been cut
in half since the 1940s.
The sessions include updates on the spread of so-called
Africanized bees and the mysterious disappearance of entire bee
colonies in at least 35 states since 2006.

Although this may not sound important it is,bees polinate our food w/o them we would starve, and in my opinion they r leaving/dying due 2 the severe enviorment changes we're going through, here is a fact my fellow posters will like, a bee works everyday 2 make honey that she'll never eat they literally work themselves 2 DEATH,we can all identify with that,we need 2 do something 2 help out our little bee buddies if they go we go,they r (n my opinion) d most useful insect out there,we should all love honeybees.
