HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- No sizzle on the barbecue. Just the pitter patter of rain early on the 4th in Huntington.
Early on, we found very few people in the popular Ritter Park area that is always packed during nice weather. Instead, we found some people hitting the movie theater, although they weren't too happy about it. Several others told us they changed plans too.
Some planned to spend the day in the skies by jumping out of airplanes.
"But if we see the rain isn't going to let up we'll just be here waiting on the next day," Larry LeMaster from Tri-State Skydivers said. "We'll just grill out have some hamburgers and hotdogs, you know have a good time."
Everyone seemed to be trying to make the best of a soggy situation.
