CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are clearing the scene of crash involving several vehicles in St. Albans.

Police say four vehicles in all were involved in the accident along Interstate 64 and two people were taken to the hospital.

Meanwhile, rain is being blamed for two accidents happening in basically the same spot near Nitro.

Both of these accidents happened around 6:30am Tuesday morning in the east bound lanes on Interstate 64.

The first crash happened when a blazer hydroplaned and hit the retaining wall along the east bound lanes. Just minutes later, a pickup truck also hydroplaned and hit the retaining wall and ended up on its side.

Both drivers were shaken, but not seriously injured.

FemaleDriver2, I have to agree with you that all of these women are not doing anyone (Including themselves) a favor by texting while driving. I also beg you, please SLOW DOWN, stop driving so wrecklessly. Come on women.

All recent evidence points to the fact that a distracted driver causes many more accidents then a aggressive driver. Maybe there should be separate proficiency tests based on gender. Whatever it takes to keep the roads safe I am for.

I love it! Assume it was female on the phone. Why not an agressive male driver on the phone? I hate that I can be doing the speed limit or better and some guy is on his phone and follows too close to my car. SLOW DOWN, rain or no rain, agressive drivers take lives.
