CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Independent Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader appears to have enough signatures to gain access to West Virginia's ballot this November.

Supporters have been gathering signatures for weeks. They will submit the petitions to the West Virginia Secretary of State Friday.

State law requires 15,118 signatures to gain access. Nader's supporters announced Thursday night they will hand in more than 24,000 names.

Libertarian Party Candidate Bob Barr is also attempting to gain access to West Virginia's ballot. The deadline is August 1st.

The superdelgaets didn't override anyone's votes. W.Va.'s PLEDGED delegates went to Gore. Superdelegates vot in addition to those and can go with whomever they want. In this case they went with the winner of the national vote total, Barack Obama.

Nader screwed it up for the Democrats before... Looks like he'll do it again!

The write-in canidate is a great option, however, it doesn't matter whom John Q Public votes for President; it's the SUPERDELEGATES decision to override our votes and elect whomever they decide to support.

Nader is a spoiler who siphoned off the votes needed to put gore in .He remindes me of a person who blocks the passing lane on the freeway and is oblivious to the delays and disruption he creates .Years ago my cousin worked for him , he said ralph nader was always looking for a cause to pursue .I guess he like's to stir things up just because he can!

You know, I voted for Nader in 2000 and I've essentially regretted it ever since. Seeing what has happened to our country in the last 8 years, I can't help but feel a little responsible. Unfortunately, I was bullied into siging this stupid petition outside of the Vandalia Gathering, without really being told who/what I was supporting. I'm assuming that the folks who've worked so hard to get Ralph back on the ballot are McCain supporters, as he's the only one who'll benefit from it.
