BRAXTON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- FiberNet recently installed high-speed Internet in Braxton County.
Across West Virginia broadband service is spotty.
Many don't have access to high-speed Internet, and some say this lack of access limits economic development.
At a Braxton County hotel, high-speed Internet is crucial.
The hotel got connected months ago, and the managers say their ability to attract conferences depends on it.
FiberNet is bringing other businesses up to speed in Braxton County with its new broadband service.
It allows businesses to do their work on the Internet; from ordering supplies to staying connected to their national offices.
FiberNet believes broadband access will bring new businesses to town that requires a fast connection.
Another impact of this broadband connection is it will take less time to swipe your credit card and get the purchase approved.
FiberNet officials say they're working to bring broadband access to other areas in the state.
