WASHINGTON D.C. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito applauded the selection of a female to the Republican presidential ticket Friday. Senator John McCain, the presumptive nominee for president for the Republican Party, picked Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, as his running mate.

"As a woman, this is an incredibly exciting day to be involved in the political process," said Shelley Moore Capito, also West Virginia's lone female member of Congress. "In Gov. Sarah Palin we have the opportunity to elect a noted reformer, a mother and a popular governor from a well-known energy state to be our nation's next vice president."

Capito pointed out the historic significance of Palin's selection. She's the first female ever to be chosen for the GOP presidential ticket.

OK - I'll answer for Rose. I believe I can given all the examples shown below. ROSE'S ARGUMENT: Okay, again, Tiffany, you are not interpreting my comments accurately. I never used the race card either, I just allude to his "Muslin" roots, which cannot be denied (per R. Limbaugh (aka rehabbed druggie and my hero)). I've been doing some researchin' and I found that Obama is in Michigan this week. ACTUAL FACT: Obama is campaigning in Michigan (a battleground state) this week. More of Rose's Facts: B. HUSSEIN Obama is campaigning in Michigan. Surely, Tiffany, you are aware (as I am because I am a researcher) that Michigan has the largest concentration Muslim community in our nation in Detroit. Coincidence? I think not. How can you deny the obvious Tiffany? P.S. (ACTUAL FACT): Limbaugh did claim that Obama was not black. Limbaugh says Obama's family was from Kenya, a country in Africa with a majority Muslim community. Not accurate, but doesn't matter. Limbaugh = God. Obama = antichrist.

Please read my comment again about Ayers. I did not say that he couldn't be a terrorist. I only said that he must not be to much of a threat or he would be in jail or out of this country. It doesn't matter anyway considering Obama does not have much of a "tie" to this man. He lived in the same neighborhood as him and went to his house once. That is not a relationship I would be concerned about. I would be more concerned about a presidents family having ties to the royal family in Saudia Arabia. That's just my opinion.

I have not used "the race card". I have never said that you aren't voting for him because he is black. I have suggested that west virginians don't trust him because of that. The reason I say this is because 55%of people in WV admitted that race played a key role in who they voted for and some of them were on camera when they said it. How is stating an absolute fact "playing the race card". This country is racist, so it obviously would be harder for a black man to win the president. I don't know why that is so hard for you to understand. If you deny racism then Rose you really are living in a dream world. As far McCains medical history goes, yes I would let people look through my medical history if I had a job as stressful as being the president. It wouldn't bother me a bit. Apparently he has something he does not want people to see. No, that's not a proven fact but one can assume that there would have to be a reason to give people a limited time to look at his records.

I worked under Arch Moore (governor)for the state road , we had a thing called the flower fund it was manditory to contribute . At that time we all knew it was realy campaign slush fund our money was going for . Shelly moore capito trained by arch moore would call sarah palin a good choice I guess shes just another palin-toligist who goes along with the party on everything.

If you can't at least see the problem there, the entirety of your arguments can easily be dismissed. You also revert to the faux argument of "Muslim background" when you are backed into a corner. McCain did NOT say that Spain was an adversary OR that it was in Latin America. This was an ASSUMPTION derived from the liberals after an interview. Don't believe me? Since you enjoy the race card so much, I will go ahead and point out that your assumption that someone living in this country could not possibly be a terrorist or commit bombings is a bit questionable. One does not have to live in a middle eastern country to be a terrorist. Remember Oklahoma City? Those people weren't middle easterns. Would you not classify them as terrorists? Ayers & his wife got off on a technicality. He is an unapologetic terrorist bomber who threw a party for Obama in his home. There are plenty of ties to him & Obama that are being hidden. If Obama had done business with a relative of someone who had yet to commit a crime, I am reasonable enough to realize that is not important. But attending a party in your honor at the home of someone who has already committed the crimes & is unrepentant about it is a whole lot different. If you don't understand that, then that is your own problem.

You continue to bring up issues I have already addressed First you accuse Palin of making remarks about Jews, I correct you, now you jump on her church even though I provided a link to comments from a well-respected Rabbi who said there is NO comparison between Obama supporting ideologies of an Anti-American Rev. Wright for TWENTY YEARS & Palin happening to be in the audience when a GUEST SPEAKER made a comment that was controversial. It's as if you don't read anything I write. Someone who has been cancer-free for nearly 8 years most usually is in the clear, as the report said. As far as John McCain & his medical records? I would black out parts that were irrelevant, as well. Would you want the public to know about every hemmorhoid & personal discussion with your personal doctor from your entire life?

I will say that, for the most part, you have been fun to converse with and I appreciate your civility. Although I do not agree with you much about anything, apparently, I do respect you as a person. I would encourage you to find the whole story when you hear something about someone or read a quote that is standing alone. I think you probably do that already, as I do, because we both want to know the whole story. It is also very apparent that we are both biased towards who we support & there will be no convincing either of us to vote for the other candidate. This discussion has been going on nearly a month now & is going no where. I have went out of my way to provide references & proof for anything I say & even attempt to give you references showing that some of the things you have said are not true (like Palin making the Jewish statement, McCain & the Spain issue, etc). These were all just blatant untruths. I have been accused of not being able to research information, yet I'm the one who seems to be doing all the research & providing evidence in this discussion.

There are many things in a medical record that are no one's business. Common sense dicatates that if you had a melanoma removed in 2000 and you are still here with the living in 2008 w/no signs of chemo & treatments (hair loss, weight loss, frequent hospitalizations & surgeries) then you are doing OK. You don't need every page of the man's medical records to figure that out. It is only your opinion that his judgement is poor due to him picking Palin. There is a huge amount of people out there that disagree with you. The crisis on Wall Street that you said McCain blamed on Obama? They BOTH have blamed each other & exchanged jabs. That is politics & campaigning during a close election. About Ayers? Ayers is, indeed, a professor. He also has ADMITTED to bombings & regrets he couldn't do more.

Did you think he was fit to run this country? John Kerry was also a decorated war hero. It sounds ridiculous the way you talk about it. Obama has done good things for his country. For a time, Mr. Obama was on the board with Mr. Ayers, though he no longer has a formal association with the group. At the debate, he described Mr. Ayers as "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," but "not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis." Mr. Obama said he was being unjustly linked to "somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old." Theres that dangerous relationship Rose. OOOOOH Scary. Come on now. It's not like he was giving him billions of dollars for the last ten years. Really Rose, stop denying the obvious. It's perfectly okay to admit your president is a money hungry corrupt politician.

He let the press review his records alright. He gave them a brief amount of time and half of the papers were blacked out. He is not in any kind of shape to be president. His judgment on choosing Sara Palin is proof enough that he HAS NO JUDGMENT. He blamed the crisis on wall street on Obama. First Obama had no experience now he is responsible for the crumbling of Americas economy? They are desperate right now. The republicans are on the verge of losing. I think your remarks about Obama are laughable. You think the relationship between Bush and the Saudi Arabians is laughable? I don't care what you say if that was Obama who had connections with them you would say he was "dangerous". YOU have no sense of reality. john McCain this last week has completely embarrassed himself. He said Spain was an adversary of the US when they are an ali. he also said they were located in Latin America. He is not fit to be president. Sara Palin has lied constantly since the convention and will continue to do so. Take a look into her church and her pastor. He supports the "pray gay away" concept. Which is just as outrageous as the things Rev. WRight was preaching about. Her church had a guest speaker who spoke about terrorism being Gods judgement on jews. What kind of a church even has a guest speaker like that? What was Sara Palins reaction to it. She was at the service. Did she leave? No I'm sure she stayed and listened. Why is that not a problem for you Rose?

A group of doctors numbering 2000 have issued a demand for free and open access to McCain's health records. Does McCain have something to hide? Or does this give us a peek into how he will run the White House if he makes it there? The overwhelmingly secretive aura surrounding the White House for the past 8 years must be dissolved. My government is "of the people, for the people, and by the people." Since it's my government, I have a right to know all that occurs in the White House. The only exception is when there is a TRUE compromising of National Security. However, secrecy in the name of National Security seems to be thrown around rather excessively and carelessly lately.

Did you notice that Rose's source stated that the "press" looked over the medical records? Only one of the reporters (with their infinite background in Medical Record analysis) was a Dr., CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Dr. Gupta stated "I have never reviewed medical records quite the way I did today. At promptly 7:30 a.m. PT, we were taken to a conference room and handed three stacks of paper, nearly 1,200 papers in all and told we had exactly three hours to review them. I am still not sure I understand why there was so little time given to review so many papers."(CNN 5/23/08 Gupta's on AC360) More..."McCain to limit reporters' access to his medical records. Only a few hand-picked journalists covering the campaign will be allowed to view the senator's health documents."(LA TIMES 5/23/08) Most did surmise that McCain was in good health. If McCain wins, how can it be disputed that he will run the White House very true to the phrase coined at the Dem Convention **McCain = more of the same** ???

Genetics the new cure for cancer?... I know Obama could pass on before his term is over as well. If that where to happen i can say i have faith that Biden could take over with great success. As far as serving our country so are thousands of other men and women and he poses a bill to increase veterans educational benefits. Jess (continued)...Could he die soon, despite his mother's genetic contribution to his longevity? Sure he could. Obama could too. People in their 40s & 50s die all the time, unfortunately. Truly, I find it a bit tacky that people are already planning for the possibility of McCain's death. Of course, with what McCain went through while serving OUR COUNTRY (years of torture so brutal his hair turned white), I'm sure it did take a toll on his health. Obama has never served our country, so I guess he does have that health advantage.

Jess, I did not say that you claimed she was running for president. I say what I mean & if I wanted to say that I would have said, "Jess, you are wrong, she is not running for President." I was simply implying that Palin is being scrutinized more so than Obama & she isn't even the one running for President. They are both considered "young," politically. She has executive experience & he has zero (even though he is running for Chief Executive of the US). Any executive experience is better than none. Could she end up being the president? Sure she could. Any VP could. The reference to McCain's mother was exactly as you took it. His mother is still alive, therefore it is possible that he very well might have the same genetics as his mother.

While I applaud your efforts at an intellectual argument with Ms. Rose, I believe your attempts will be futile. I see where you have acknowledged errors in your judgment or your words when brought to your attention. I do not see Ms. Rose reciprocating. I have found a common link with those who are Pro-Palin and Anti-Obama: Both sides "cling" to superficialities like your suppositions about Obama (no underlying factual, issue-based, points). Jess, the Smoking Gun document that is provided only talks about about terrorism threats from the 1990s when CLINTON was president. There were no new warnings contained in that document. This document only rehashes the fact that Bin Laden was a threat to the U.S. If it had warned of jets being hijacked & crashed into the World Trade Center & the Pentagon, then I would have to agree with you. Bush's administration was doing just as much as Clinton did, if not more, in the short 8 months he had been in office. Bin Laden could have been long gone if Clinton had acted in the 1990s appropriately. We endured numerous attacks during the Clinton administration. Bush is a human being, not a psychic. 9/11 was not predicted by Tenet. He had a feeling "something" was going to happen, but gave no further details or direction. I think we can agree that we all wished that it could have been predicted & thwarted.

On Palin...she is running for Vice President, not President. Any one of us might not be around in 4 years. Maybe McCain should ask his MOTHER (who is still alive) if Palin is a good choice, lol! At any rate, I find nothing wrong with Palin as a VP candidate. She has more executive experience than Obama (even though you might not feel that being Governor of Alaska is sufficient or mayor of a town). There are no requirements to be an international traveler to be VP, is there? One would have to have lots of money & time to be an international traveler...which would make them out of touch with the "regular people," right? I think that if McCain were to pass away during his term that she would be just fine. I believe she is the element of change that this country needs. Many people have served in high offices with abundant foreign travel & did a poor job. This is not an accurate predictor of how someone will perform their duties in office.

Jess...1) There is a huge difference between having friends you don't agree with & associating with someone who is unapologetic for bombings he committed! I would even question your character if you were friends with an admitted bomber. We should care about this when electing a President. 2) There is a huge difference between being friends w/your pastor, who happens to have some radical anti-American opinions & sitting for 20 yrs listening to various ideologies that are questionable. One would have to be seriously off their rocker to continue to listen to someone for 20 yrs if they didn't agree with them. Again, this tells me he either supported Wright's views or he lacks the backbone to stand up for his beliefs & change churches. Either way? I don't want him to be my President.

Tiffany, your comparison to Bush/Arbusto Oil & Ayers is laughable. Obama has associations w/a man who has admitted to bombings & wished he had done more. His crimes had already occurred & Obama still associated with him repeatedly. Arbusto Energy was founded in 1976. Salem bin Laden is one of at least 54 children fathered by Mohammed bin Laden. Osama bin Laden was 18-19 yrs old in 1976 & was attending school. He had yet to commit any acts of terrorism. Salem bin Laden's interest of a whopping 5% was invested by James R. Bath, an American. Bush even sold Arbusto BEFORE the terrorism began. Now that we have the facts, I think you can even say that it would be a stretch to link someone to terrorism when 1) The act is yet to occur & 2) The association is with a half-sibling (one of 53 half siblings!). That would be like me having a problem with Obama doing business with an Ayers half-sibling before Ayers even committed crimes. That was a serious reach, but nice try, Tiffany!

3rd this is my opinion and a question of sorts. Do you think Palin is read to be President? McCain is not in the greatest of health and its a good possibility that he will not live 4 years. Do you think someone who was mayor of a very small town and, someone who was only Governor for 2 years, someone who has only been outta the country once and that was recently. How is she going to be able to handle forien affairs and terrorist? I could go into her personal life but i will not. (even though if the tables were turned and barack those "problems" im 10000% sure McCain would have used them n a bashing commercial by now.)

Bill Clinton actually conducted polls after each act of terrorism to see if the public blamed him & how it affected his popularity. He had a PR-driven approach to terrorism & only did the minimum he had to do after each attack to keep himself popular with the public. He was *not* tough on terrorism. Each of these attacks could be viewed as an act of war against the U.S. (especially the World Trade Center bombing). I don't blame any black person in this country for being angry. As for Obama listening to him, I have plenty of close friends that I don't agree with about things. I supported Hillary Clinton, voted for her in the primary. But, i didn't agree with everything she said about Obama. The Rev Wright controversy was one of them. The President of the United States is a pretty big responsibility & I find that character & past associations should be a major factor when considering who to vote for on election day. Rabbi Yehuda Levin, a prominent Orthodox Rabbi, has addressed this & said that there is no comparison to her happening to be in an audience where a one-time guest speaker made such a comment & Obama sitting by Pastor Wright for twenty years. Tiffany, I looked up that church's website & visited it way before the primaries. My problem is not the fact that the church he attended for over 20 years is mostly an African-American congregation. My problem is not that Rev. Wright seems to spread some very anti-American messages (he has that right here in America). My problem is that Obama sat in that church for 20 years & listened to this propaganda from Rev. Wright & was never insulted enough to leave. If I walked into my church & my pastor started spewing the types of messages that Wright shared with his congregation, I would be finding another church. Why? Because I don't support anti-American messages & propoganda. By attending each service week after week & year after year, Obama had to have felt the same way or he would have left long ago. I have serious reservations about a potential president exposing himself to something like this for 20 yrs w/out objecting. Again, if that makes me a redneck, so be it.

I know this may be hard to believe, but I don't have a problem with George Bush. So I really don't care if he has voted along with him! I can't think of any other president who has sent refund checks to people not once, but twice. No other president has done that for me. None of the problems we are currently experiencing, as a family, are George Bush's fault. He's also the only president that has had the guts to fight terrorism. Actually Rose they are tied in the polls. In most electoral maps it has Obama beating McCain 273 to 265 and that is giving McCain Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania. So you are wrong. Your remark about the media is wrong too. CNN is owned by General Electric who gave George W. 2.5 million dollars in his 2000 campaign. MSNBC is owned by Microsoft who gave George W. Bush 1 million dollars in the same campaign. Those two stations may appear to be liberal but they are not. They get pressure from conservatives. That's why CNN has people like Wolf Blitzer, Low Dobbs and Glenn Beck. The only channel that is truly biased is Fox NEWS. I am sick of hearing that. You don't like universal healthcare but you agree that it's okay to only allow certain people to go to college. If you do not go straight after high school chances are you won't go and I'm sorry but that's not fair. The reasons differ, but alot of the time it is the cost. It should not be so difficult for one to better themselves. One mistake and that's it. Your done. I'm not sure where the first part of my last posts went, but it really doesn't matter as they aren't really read anyway or understood. I am not the one who has been brainwashed by the mass media. Everyone knows the mass media is liberal & leans to the left. You are the one who is uninformed & brainwashed. Vote for Obama...I don't care. My vote for McCain will cancel it out anyway. He's ahead in all the polls, so it's apparent that the people of America are not seeing things quite the same way that you are. November will tell the tale. You are very uninformed. There is no solution to the health care crisis unless the government gets involved. It's impossible for the AVERAGE family to afford health insurance which costs my husband and myself (paid out of our own pocket) over $600/month, and our deductible is $5,000. So I just hope we are protected if God forbid cancer strikes either one of us. As for routine care for ailments that flare up, we can't go to the doctor because we can't afford to by the time we pay for our health insurance. Even with a tax credit (max $5000/year) by McCain, most Americans cannot afford to pay this amount. Allowing insurance companies to bargain with everyone individually will only allow them to take more advantage of us. All you have ever heard about Canada's healthcare system is a MYTH. Emergency care is received quickly in Canada. Elective procedures do wait a few weeks. If I have to wait a few weeks for a routine mammogram so that someone else can live, what a small sacrifice!!! Cont.

And as for the last comment to my husband (which you conveniently made look like he typed the comment, by the way)...he is sleeping right now because he has to work overnight tonight, so I will reply. You have the nerve to say that I take everything YOU say and TWIST it? Hahaha! My husband was AGREEING with you & you speak to him like that? He DID NOT say that YOU did not take care of your grandmother! Wow! He agreed with you & said that the elderly should be taken care of & family should also help. He didn't say TIFFANY didn't take care of her grandma! Unbelievable! I think what your grandma went through is awful & we agree 100%. We went through the same problems with his grandmother who, unfortunately, passed away two months ago. Do not presume to act like we don't understand this problem. All he said was that care for the elderly should be a given & that the government AND family need to provide that for them. That does not imply you didn't care for your grandma.

Wouldn't this be better than socialized medicine where, yes, everything is free but you have no choice in the quality you are receiving and have to wait on huge waiting lists for important procedures & surgeries? 7. I believe in total equality & I know that these resources are available for 100% of the population. If that is not equality, I do not know what is. If you are underprivelledged, you actually have more resources to go to college than others. 8. You may have never said that we or anyone else should take care of your problems, but who is going to pay for your insurance if you don't? I'm not trying to be mean or spiteful, but truly...who pays? If you cannot be responsible for paying $150/month for your family, who is going to pay for it, Tiffany? Healthcare, as you know, is not free. Do you not find that John McCain's plan of giving you $5,000/year would be beneficial in your case? $150/month X 12 = $1800. You would have your health insurance covered & have a large portion leftover to put in a health care spending account.

4. For the record, I completely understand that the people you are referring to are those who WORK. I believe you have misunderstood because I was discussing two different subjects tandemly. To keep it simple, I will only discuss working, uninsured families here. 5. I have never doubted how hard you and your husband work. I never meant to suggest that you want the government to do things for you or take care of you. I also never suggested that you have been on public assistance at any point in time. I apologize if you read that into my previous comments. 6. When I say that people need to take advantage of the resources available to them to go to college, etc I do NOT mean public assistance. I meant scholarships (which in WV a high school graduate can go to college w/no problems through the Promise scholarship is they worked hard in school). I meant grants, student loans, etc. These are all available for anyone who wants to go to college. I have no doubt you know this already.

Did I ever say that the government should take care of the elderly and not there families. NO I DID NOT! I simply said that the government should make sure that an 87 year old woman does not have to decide between her prescriptions and her social security check. I never once said that the families should not help the elderly. THAT was an assumption on your part that was just wrong. Like I said my grandmother had her medical card taken away because her SSI check was too high. A big 900 a month. SHe lost her benefits. WE took care of it though and made sure her medicine was purchased and that she was taken care of. This is THE LAST comment that will be posted to you so let me just say for the record ALL AMERICANS SHOULD WORK. I do not believe that people should have to work three jobs though, this is not Russia or China. The gap between the rich and the poor is increasing. McCain/Palin will continue to divide this country and we will have bigger problems then the ones we are facing now.

For the record I have NEVER had any public assistance and neither has anyone in my family. We all have worked our entire lives and that is going back for five generations. I am tired of hearing that democrats or people who just believe in equality are not accepting responsibilities. The fact is is that YOUR political party uses division tactics. They are dividing this country further and further. They are causing people like you to view people like me as lazy or whiners. Insurance companies PROFIT billions a year. The healthcare industry profits billions as well. There is no sense in charging people what they charge. 150 a month may be a "deal" for you but it's not affordable for me. Even without internet or cable. I have NEVER EVER said YOU or anyone else should take care of me or my problems. This is going NOWHERE because you are simply distorting everything I am saying. Congratulations, the republican party would be very proud.

I seriously doubt that you have been to the millions of Americans homes who are uninsured. So to judge the many by a few is ridiculous. I am not going to get into a battle about who has struggled more but rest assured that my family has seen more tragedies then I care to mention. What bothers me Rose is that you don't understand that the people I am referring to ARE people who WORK. Lpns who have to work 60 hours a week just to get by. The same people who were getting by just fine working 40 hours a week eight years ago. That is what bothers me. My husband worked 40 hours a week, and went to lpn school 40 hours a week so I know what it is like to "struggle". I do not have enough time to sit and tell you all of our accomplishments. I have previously explained to you repeatedly how hard my husband and I work and you continue to say things that suggest I want the government to do things for me and that I am not taking advantage of resources that are available to me.

I am aware that there are democrats voting for McCain. They are not democrats. If you agree with the policies of a man who has voted with George Bush 90% of the time then you should reconsider which political party you belong to. As far as your struggles go, you may have struggled in the past but apparently you are not impacted by the struggles of today so you are not seeing how difficult it is for people right now. I have never suggested you were an "elitists" only that you do not realize how difficult things are at this time. I know myself how expensive health care is and how much it costs to go to school. My mother father and husband are all LPN's. I have worked in the mental health field now for the last eight years. You are not telling me anything that I don't already know. I am not the one judging here Rose. You are the one suggesting that the millions of Americans who are uninsured and who cannot afford to send there children to college simply need to budget better.

Tiffany, I will agree with you on one thing. The elderly should be taken care of. Please keep in mind though that is is not only the responsibility of the government but also the family. I also don't have a problem with temporary welfare. As long as it is temporary. The government should require that welfare recipients train for a job, and send them into the workforce within one to two years. The government does provide assistance in this case. They give millions of grants every year.

Part 3: You can thank those who file frivolous lawsuits & milk the insurance companies for these high prices. There are definitely times when a law suit is necessary, but until something is done about the abuse of the system you can expect high prices & less choice because our doctors are leaving the state. The bottom line is this: I HAVE had to struggle & I have seen that I can make more of myself if I want. This is the exact reason I get angry & don't accept excuses from others. I know it was difficult & took a while, but I also know it was worth it. I think that those who make excuses don't really want it bad enough or they would take advantage of all the ways they could accomplish it. I understand all too well & it drives you crazy for some reason. It's like you refuse to believe that someone who has had to struggle would think this way. But the fact is many people just like me are tired of others making excuses & not accepting responsibility for their own situations.

Tiffany, With all due respect, our whole married life has been a struggle. We live from paycheck to paycheck just like you or anyone else. The biggest difference between your situation and ours is that we don't believe it is anyone's responsibility but ours to make our life better. If we don't, then that is our problem. NOT THE GOVERNMENTS. We all have equal chances. I don't choose your career and you don't choose mine. How hard you choose work with those chances is completely up to you. I didn't have a golden spoon. I had to pay my own way. It is not my responsibility to take care of you. It is your job to take care of yourself.

Part 2: We are common people who took care of ourselves & our own needs. We are certainly NOT perfect & have plenty of room for improvement, like everyone else on earth. But you are WRONG about me & my family. Dead wrong. Do I disagree with you that America would be a wonderful place if we had all the things you described? NO! But it's unrealistic. Medical care is EXPENSIVE & a reasonable price for health insurance is not free. Doctors, nurses, & other health professionals have to spend a huge amt of time & money going to school, keeping their licenses & paying for malpractice insurance. The price of college is expensive, as well. It takes a huge amount of money to run a college, pay the staff, keep it supplied, and insured. Anyone who wants to go to college can if they want. Sure, life would be grand if everything was free or "affordable" (which obviously means close to free to you). The insurance you are offered at the price you described is a deal. Full price it's about $900/mo!

Tiffany, you are dead wrong. Number 1, my family (not ME, my parents) ARE democrats & have NEVER voted for a republican until this election coming up. Many democrats will not be voting for Obama & voting Republican for the first time this year whether you want to believe that or not. Second, I've probably struggled more than you ever have. I grew up on a farm & we raised all our own food. We only had wood heat & no a/c. I worked hard on that farm & my father worked for a coal mine. He was unemployed for three years & we lived off the land. My husband & I got married very young & struggled like crazy, working numerous jobs. Our living conditions were very poor & our kitchen ceiling even fell in one day on me. But instead of sitting around & allowing this to get us down, we pulled ourselves up & bettered our lives. You are obviously bothered by that & want to think that we are elitists & "don't understand" the plights of the "common person." We ARE the common people.

You will not understaand because you apparently have done everything perfect and have not had to struggle, if you have had to struggle you still did everything right so I really don't know how you would understand any of this. Your family is not democrats. No democrat would vote for McCain, no true democrat anyway. That's really all I have to say. I wish you could understand but you don't. The only way you would is if you were affected by these things, and your not.

There is no point Rose, you will never ever be able to understand what other people go through. You can't understand and you really do not want to understand. Not all of us are like the people you are describing. Not all of us want to live off of the gov and do nothing. We should have more chances then we do. The price of college should be lowered. Health insurance should be made affordable to people and medicaid should be made available to more people. Senior citizens need to be treated better and stop having there medicaid taken away because there SSI check is too much, don't argue that, it happened to my grandmother, children need to be better educated in school, we need better teachers, we need less guns on the street, there is no reason anyone needs AK47's and that's about all I have to say. I honestly don't know how anyone can argue that these things are not important to the country. We all deserve the same rights. We should all be able to live nice and still have insurance.
