ASHLAND, KY (WSAZ) -- Some kids in Ashland got loaded down with homework from the new school year and now they're finding themselves with less time to do fun things like play video games.
That's why the Ashland Community and Technical College held a back to school party.
Students were able to get together to play networked computer and video games.
More than sixty people showed up for a Saturday of gaming.
Organizers say the back to school party is a great chance for kids to get meet with other kids that have similar interests.

To Carl: I was one of the students who participated in the organization of the ACTC LAN Party. This event in no way encourages children or adults to become lazy and mindless. This event in fact encourages social interaction and competetive fun in today's youth, while also encouraging people to become involved in the learning aspect of connecting consoles and computers together. By the way your IP address has been traced and we will be there shortly.
