CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- All table games should be up and running next week at Tri-State Racetrack and Gaming Center.
The West Virginia Lottery Commission approved the timeline Tuesday. The new games include blackjack, roulette, and craps.
The plan is to have charity nights next Monday and Tuesday. Then, the racetrack will spend Wednesday going over the last-minute details and fixing any problems.
The games are expected to officially open to the public on Thursday, October 9.
The West Virginia Lottery Commission also approved its initial table games gambling exclusion list. The table games law gives the Lottery the authority to keep certain people out of the state's racetrack casinos.
The list approved Tuesday has eight names on it. All have been convicted of crimes related to table games during the past year in West Virginia.

AKA ErickF: How about all the new jobs that were created? How about all the out of town people coming in and spending money in your restaurants and hotels? Maybe even spending the weekend in your backward minded state! Maybe you should not have such a shallow mind and look at the big picture! Its the economy stupid...regardless of what your bible says!

I used to go to the racetrack frequently. A few weeks ago I decided to go and stay at the local Sleep Inn. When I called to make reservations they told me the value of the room by points had increased. It used to be 1500 points for a standard room now it is TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND points. I thought the hotel clerk had misquoted the amount so I called the racetrack. Nope it is TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND points for a standard room. I ask them if they had restructured their point system and was told no. Needless to say I didn't go. and haven't been since. Not sure who they want to come there and spend/lose money, definitely not the ones that are loyal and consistant when playing. Too Bad. The casino in Rising Sun IN has a better players promotion. Free night anytime! So to answer davidc's question. Doesn't look like they have done anything but snookered the tri state area very nicely.
