LAKIN, W.Va. (AP) - The former head of the Lakin Correctional Facility's education program has been charged with having sex with an inmate.
Forty-year-old Standley Greene was arrested Wednesday by State Police after he agreed to turn himself in at Mason County Magistrate Court.
The Charleston man was released after posting $5,000 bond.
Greene has not worked at the correctional center since allegations were made that he had sex with an inmate on Aug. 22.
Department of Education spokeswoman Liza Cordeiro says Greene was originally suspended with pay, but was suspended without pay on Sept. 24 following a separate investigation by the department.
There was no telephone listing for Greene in Charleston.

as a former inmate at lakin, i know stanley he is a good guy, that girl was wrong for that. she loved him i heard it from her. she threw herself at him and then told only to get out. some women at lakin r like this. i did 5 yrs. for a paper crime. stanley and i are still friends to this day. we went out a few times too. he is a good man.he just trusted her and he felt sorry for her.yes he was wrong.but she was too
I was their he didn't rape her he might had been wrong for sleeping with her but he ant no better then the other officers doing the same
I would just like to say yes they are both adults and consenting sex is one thing. I am very close to this situation and it definitely was not consenting....He deserves to go to jail for a long time, and they should discharge her sentence period....she was definitely raped and he need to suffer for that....regardless of what sentence he receives God will deal with him in his way.I see people do petty things and their bond is 5 times larger than his bond is....
