CHESAPEAKE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- St. Mary's Medical Center on Friday announced its new collaboration with the Family Medical centers in Lawrence County.
The link above features video from Friday’s unveiling ceremony at the Chesapeake facility. There are also Family Medical centers in Ironton, Coal Grove and South Point. The new partnership will help streamline hospital admission.
St. Mary's recently announced plans to build a new Family Medical center in Lawrence County near state Route 141 and U.S. Route 52 that may eventually include a surgery and imaging center. Construction on that facility is planned to begin in 2009.

Green gables surgery center , holzer ,Kings Daughters in south point , and now St Marys , most call themselves non-profit but it sure looks like someone is getting a profit. In Kentucky you must prove a need and obtain a certificate of need , HIMG moved to the (taint)taint Huntington , taint Barboursville no B&O taxes mostly a better tax climate these concerns seek .Now that our economy has crashed what will shake out , insurance companys wont give up their grip easily , medicare will face huge cuts in the near future and the people who actualy pay their own way are being wiped out on the stock market .So doctors will have to take a huge hit in the near future its coming boys , I see MRIs with a radiology report in Michigan going for 625.00 a cat scan in ashland with a report in excess of 1200.00 maybe allegaent airlins can run some x-ray flights .Obama will not be scared to break up the ball game , I know doctors who are scared to death for him to get into the white house .
