CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- On the heels of the first positive poll for Barack Obama in West Virginia, MSNBC shifted its analysis of West Virginia to a state "leaning McCain."

American Research Group released a poll showing the Democrat Obama with an 8% lead over John McCain in West Virginia at 50% to 42%. Republican John McCain has been out ahead in all other polls released in West Virginia.

MSNBC's political team of Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, Domenico Montanaro, and Carrie Dann released an analysis Monday morning pointing out that there is a shift in West Virginia. The quartet claim it's because of the "economic angst" in the country.

The Cook Political Report currently lists West Virginia as a toss up state.

As you know many kids spend most of their time on the phone or in front of a video game... the ads on the games are to get the young adults that are old enough to vote(DUH).What a shame that our children spend more time on video games and not family time( This is his message to you). God help us all if we have to live in our past and are being juged that way... I hope you have nothing in your past that your not willing to be juged for eveyday and in your future. I think the saying is clean out your own closet before you worry about someone else. I don't know of one thing Obama has been flip floped on, but again everyone to their own opinion...MCCAIN has chose to run a negative campain instead of dealing with the issues at hand and this is the reason Obama has the advantage.Choosing a President should be based on what they have to offer the country and not all the stupid alligations that no one has proof to support...Pray for your hardened heart and ask God who he wants as our leader.

Why is it Senator Obama claims against kids playing video games but, he has authorized and is paying for ads, billboards on these very games he is so opposed to. Double Standard and a flip flop again? Every single issue he has done this. more bad news for obama:ittb has the national race from 47-40 to 47-43 today. zogby had the national numbers 48-42.5 yesterday today its 47-44.2, 2.8 margin. oh by the way ittp was the most accurate polster along with rasmusson and survey usa in 2oo4. Plus ppp(democrat polster) has wva at 50-42 mccain, and mason dixon/msnbc another dem polster has it 47-40 for mccain as of today. both polls agree that the undecideds normally breaks for the underdog nationally. so if the election were held today mccain wins about 55-45 in wva. remember bush beat gore by 6.3, and bush beat kerry 56-43. so mccain up between 7-10 is very plausible. the other 2 polls in september also had mccain with an 11 and a 17 and a 5 point margin. I know alot about polling i used to work for a major polling firm. if the election were held today mccain wins ohio, wva, nc, and obama wins fla, missouri, while nev, and colorado our absolute tossups.

I live in West Virginia and I support Obama.This country needs new blood with new and fresh ideas.You always hear that he does not have enough experience to be President,but the way I see it what we have had for the past 8 years has done nothing except put us into a depression.How many homeless people do we have in the United States? My guess is to many for the amount of money spent outside this country.No one in the United States should be without health care and a place to live being that we have the money to rebuild other countries.Obama has more to offer the American people other than the rich keep getting rich and the middle class continues to struggle and except the excuses of our leaders in this country right now... People open your eyes and learn that change is exactly what this country thrives for right now.You can't change your mind after election day and this nation continues to fail, and you find youself without work or a home,It is to late!! To Anonymous: Partial birth abortion is banned in the U.S. and no President can change that. We were fooled by that argument in 2000 and 2004 and look where that got us. Quit trying to sway the election with something that has nothing to do with current events. This happend last time we had to vote for President. They give us all good lip but when it comes down to it, what can they REALLY do when they get into office. Without the backing of the rest of Washington what chance do they have in giving us what they say they will... How will all this end. Why is it that no one has seen his birth certificate. When he was a baby his mother renounced citizenship of the US for citizenship of Indonesia. He never took his test to become a US citizen! Why is he even on the ticket? A well known lawyer in Pennsylvania has sued to stop the election because he is not a US citizen!

I guess putting Obama all over the papers and news channels; Shoving him down your throat, making sure that every celebrity that supports him gets ample air time, really does make a difference. WV doesn't support Obama, we are forced too. Remember voting for Hillary? That was a farce. We all got labeled as racists, and our "delegates" voted Obama anyways. I guess if they make us feel guilty enough, Obama will get our pity votes. Way to go "Team Obama" have the first black president in office by people easing a guilty conscience for being racist, when they were just doing what's right for WV in the first place. Obama will win this election no matter what. The press will make sure of that.

The reason WV is so poor, look at the DEMOCRATS who have run this state for decades. ALL top economists say in order to help the economy, you need to lower the capital gains tax. Obama wants to RAISE it. This will only get passed on to YOU. YOU will pay more for things. Take an economics class and quit listening to MSM mayhem and scare over it. You don't get it. There are no extensive checks before someone can run for office. Please do yourself a favor and research Obama's bio on: http://www.colony14.net/id41.html. It will amaze you. Look at his voting record. Look at his connections. Ask yourself why Obama has not allowed ANY of his records to be made public. That should be MANDATORY when you are running for office. If he were a republican, the media would not allow it. He was officially allowed to run for President of Indonesia in 2006. The only way that could happen is if he were still a citizen of Indonesia, who , BTW, does not allow dual citizenship. IF he is innocent and is a true citizen of US, then he needs to prove it. McCain did. There is no integrity when you hide things. Obama has flipflopped so much he wore them out and had to buy new ones. If he does that now, what makes you think he will keep his word when you vote him in?

Any President of the United States elected to a second term is, by definition, a lame duck for their entire second term, but would you like to be judged by one certain member of your family? If the very leaders of this country say they favor abortion and gay marriage, where does that leave the rest of us? I am no bush fan,but refuse to vote 4 a man who cant tell the TRUTH,and people wake UP because Barack Hussein Obama is a LIAR,and yes that is his real name.why would anyone vote for someone who has ties terroist,voter fraud,and cannot tell the truth, I am not even a repubiblican but there is no way I will put this man in office because I do not feel safe,times are gonna get hard regardless of who is in there economy wise read your bible this was all foretold.Freedom to me is most important and I don't think Obama has the judgement on what to do when that phone rings at 3 in the morning look who his friends are now,who will they be later bin laden?will people seriously vote for this man just because he is a democrat?not me!!!My life is way to important to me for that nonsesnse and ignorance.

This WV resident is voting Obama...it's already OBVIOUS what the McCain admin will do if they win and I see no problem giving Obama his chance. Granted he may jack up the states, but which President in past decade hasn't? Also, I think electing Obama President will show the rest of the world that the U.S.A. has evolved from being slave owners and tyrannical in the way they rule.

I have been eligible to vote in two Presidential elections so far in my life. I am ashamed to say I voted for George W. Bush both times. The good news is that I won't be fooled again. Biden says no coal in the USA. The current economic mess came from lending big mortgages to people who afford them. That legislation happened under Clinton 1999. What have Pelosi and Reid done about it in the two years they have controlled Congress? Nada. Obama's an empty suit.

Why are we voting for a man who is yet to even visit our state and show interest in WV. I am undecided but Obama can't get my vote until he shows true support for WV and this state's issues. Currently my vote cannot go to this man when McCain has already shown interest in our welfare as a state and a people. No OBAMA until he comes here to hear my voice!!!!!!!

Philip Berg filed suit against BO and DNC forcing Obama to provide proof he is eligible to run for POTUS. Obama is still a legal citizen of Indonesia, who does not allow dual citizenship. I'm not sure our Founding Fathers ever conceived of this scenario. That would be the one were a serviceman who has served his county for 50 years would have to run a presidential race against someone with the middle name of Hussain and claims not to be a Muslim. The fact that this is a point for conversation makes me cringe at where America is headed. I can't believe this is a change that would make sense any working class American.

Traci is SO wrong! WV SHOULD NOT vote for Obama, nor should any other state, especially after saying we (WV) are uneducated! Real change is correct, but not the kind of change that your hoping for! What kind of change can you expect from a man who does not believe in God like most christians do? Have you reasearched his church? His preacher? Certainally you can not think of this as a good change! What kind of change can you expect from a man who is FOR abortion, FOR gay marriage and FOR gun control? I'm glad to see WVA realizing which issues matter. McCain is truly the candidate who is pro-Tax increase for the middle class and poor. McCain will tax you on the cost of your health insurance (if you're lucky enough to have it). It's on his website, check it out. If you are paying more taxes out of your income - you can't possible argue this isn't a tax increase. McCain does indicate the tax increase is for gold-plated insurance coverage, but to McCain, we are not deserving of gold-plated insurance, only he and his buddies are among the privileged. He proposes maximum of $5,000 tax credit for purchase of health insurance. My husband and I pay $600/mo = $7,200/yr out-of-pocket, bought thru group plan covering more than 100 employees...and our deductible is $5,000 before insurance pays anything. Neither of us smoke or have pre-existing conditions. Some complain that they don't want govt picking their dr's or denying exams, but guess what, health ins. companies already are doing that.
