CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- The AARP is urging West Virginia seniors to file income tax returns to get economic stimulus payments before time runs out.
Wednesday is the filing deadline. Each senior must file a tax return to get a check of at least $300.
AARP associate state director Ginger Thompson McDaniel says thousands of eligible West Virginia seniors haven't yet filed returns. McDaniel says these seniors don't normally have to file tax returns.
McDaniel says seniors who have questions or who need help filing tax returns can call the AARP toll-free at 1-866-227-7458.

Another giveaway. They pay no taxes to the federal government and then they get a tax refund (economic stimulus payments). One of the guys I work with worked almost 700 hours overtime last year (yes, almost 700 hours overime)which put him over the $75,000 cap limit. So, after paying thousands of dollars to the federal government, he got nothing back (no stimulus payment). So, he gets no money and then we have senior who's paid no federal income tax getting a check for $300. So much for the all men are created equal bull we here so much about.
