Two counties, two men, too many fake checks. Police need your help to stop two men they say printed and cashed their own fake payroll checks. The incidents: caught on tape.

The Dunbar Police Department has named these men two of Charleston's Most Wanted. The pictures below are from video at the Dunbar Kroger on June 20, 2006.

Investigators say the men showed up together---and each tried to cash a Best Western payroll check for about five hundred dollars. Police say the routing and account numbers were not correct.

The first man got the cash, but when the clerk questioned the second man about a name on the check, he took off--and left the check and a fake ID behind. Police believe the two also tried the same thing at the Kroger in Teays Valley.

"They're using fake names, fake drivers license numbers, fake addresses, so our resources are limited on how to find correct information on people," said Patrolman Brian Middleton with the Dunbar Police Department. "Hopefully, the public will be able to help us, assist us in identifying these people."

Police believe the men are working together--and could be living anywhere in our region. Call the Dunbar Police Department at (304) 348-8111 or (304) 766-0204 if you can help identify or catch these men.
