The creek along Hughes Branch Road in Cabell County became raging floodwater.
It washed out several gravel roads on to the paved roads.
There was also standing water on Alternate Route 10.
So far, there's been little property damage.
The smaller creeks left their banks twice Thursday morning and people living in those areas were bracing for the possibility of more rain.
Report of a car getting overcome by the water in a rural part of Cabell County.
Another location that received a lot of rain was Mount Union Road.
The car went into the water, but apparently no one was injured.
