Cover Story - Fire Safety

The experts say just like teaching your child to be careful around strangers you should incorporate fire safety into your regular routine.

Three separate house fires in Charleston in the last four months were accidentally set by little children. One of those fires killed a little girl.

From the outside of an apartment building you can hardly tell something is wrong there. But inside that apartment building a little light was extinguished. A young girl died there after she got her hands on something she shouldn’t have.

It is more than enough to send out that reminder again. It is extremely important to incorporate fire safety into your regular routine: teach your child fire is a tool we use to heat our homes and cook our food but that it is not a toy: that it s dangerous, and it can kill. Teach them all fires even small ones can spread quickly and that even adults have to follow special safety rules for fire
