LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Authorities at the University of Kentucky are trying to find out who hung an effigy of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on campus.

College spokesman Carl Nathe said it was found hanging from a tree Wednesday morning. Police immediately took it down.

School President Lee Todd says that he plans to personally apologize to the Obama family on behalf of the university and that he is "personally offended and deeply embarrassed by this disgusting episode."

It's the second time an effigy has been found on a college campus recently. Earlier this week, George Fox University in Oregon said it was punishing four students who confessed to hanging a likeness of Obama from a tree.

Amber, in the Christian religion do you think Jesus accepts Buddhism or Hinduism? Why would the god of a religion accept another god. That makes no sense.

CAN MUSLIMS BE GOOD AMERICANS? This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to Finish and send it on to anyone who will read it. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good American? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply: Theologically - no . . . Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God of Arabia Religiously - no. . . Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)(Koran) Scripturally - no. . . Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran. Geographically - no . Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a day. Socially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews Politically - no. . . Because he must submit

We have really dumb people in our area if they can't understand the difference between private and state property. Go try to build a house attached to Marshall's football stadium. It is your freedom of speech you know. Jeez.

Obama was born in Hawaii, which, for all of you that seem to have so much trouble getting your facts straight, is the 50th state of the United States. I happen to be one white woman that will be voting for Obama, the U.S. citizen on Nov. 5th. I also happen to believe that the people in this country that are busy putting out so much bad information about the man don't bother to try to get accurate facts because they want to believe they're true. Then maybe they won't have to admit to everyone that they are actually ignorant racists.

I am glad you know Obama personally enough to know his "secret" plans of not loving America and dismantling the military. What terrorist is he friends with? Oh thats right, FOx and Rush said so. Your very ignorant and very narrow minded. I hope you do vote for McInsane because you definetly do not need to be associated with the Obama campaign. You haven't sketched a backwards B in your face yet, have ya?

GO WVMAN!!! and GO APRIL!!! I've said for a long time that if blacks or any other races of people don't like it here - GO the He-- HOME. I personally can't help what happened to uncle tom 150 years ago. Get over it - get a job - quit your whining about how unfair life is! News flash - Life is unfair to whites too!!! Particularly when someone hangs a black effigy and it's TERRIBLE but Sarah Palin's was OK??? and to ANONOMOUS on Oct. 30 at 9:53 am - WELL SAID TOO!!!

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 31, 2008 at 12:17 AM
Hahahaha. Fox news is fair to both. That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Fox news is about as unbiased as Pat Buchannon. CNN and MSNBC are the real news corporations. Fox news is the closest thing to a state run news organization that we have.

if no one knows Palin effigy didn't get in trouble because it was someones house, the college was state property. but im not saying it's ok either way.. i'm a obama fan~ mccain would be bushs 3rd term~lets go Obama

go Nader!!!

Posted by: OMG people! on Oct 30, 2008 at 09:13 PM
None of this has to do with racism!!!!!!!!!!! Wake up! People do not care that he is black...the only people who care are the 99.99% of the entire black population voting for him. There are white people voting for Obama too. So sounds to me like since there are no blacks voting for McCain...hmm...maybe they are prejudiced against white people...we already know that Obama does not love America and thinks that we need to dismantle our military. He is friends with all the terrorists and he wants to take America down...just wait and see..

Was this offensive sure. however UK is perpetuating a double standard. They contacted federal authorities over this and are pursuing legal action. If they are going to pursue legal action over this then they need to pursue those who hang signs and write thing about the war, abortion, conservatives, and other touchy subjects on campus. The fact is this comes down to the depiction of an African American being hanged. It is a shame they are looking to destroy these boy's lives over what is no more than a college prank.

Posted by: Joan on Oct 30, 2008 at 06:08 PM
An effigy of Sarah Palin was hung in west Hollywood, the guys that did it were interview by the media, and all were laughing and having a good time, NO ARRESTS!! I do not agree with the kids at UK doing this about Obama, but why the double standard??

Posted by: Andy on Oct 30, 2008 at 05:37 PM
Not any worse than the effigy of Palin......an effigy is an effigy.

Posted by: TriStateSaver on Oct 30, 2008 at 05:14 PM
People are ignorant, plain and simple but the more we keep telling people how ignorant they are, the more publicity we give them. You rock OBAMA! Good Luck!

I am not for Obama winning this election, but come on, this is rediculous! Don't hang him on a tree, just hang him out to dry. Vote McCain and show your intelligence, not your ignorance. Again this is pitiful, as pitiful as the person hanging a likeness of palin on the side of a house. Crazy people, crazy! Just vote and pray, Pray and vote!

AL SHARPTON IS JUST AS USELESS AS OBAMA. RACISM DOES STILL EXIST IN THIS COUNTRY BUT ITS AGAINST THE WHITES.I DONT OWE ANYBODY ANYTHING FOR WHAT HAPPENED IN HISTORY AND THE BLACKS NEED TO STOP USING THE RACE CARD IT'S ONLY BEEN USED FOR ABOUT THE LAST 100 YEARS ITS KINDA OLD. I AM TIRED OF POEPLE ACTING LIKE SOMEBODY OWES THEM JUST BECAUSE THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN. BLACK PEOPLE NEED TO GET A GRIP THIS RACE CRAP IS GETTING OLD. IF POEPLE DONT LIKE THIS COUNTRY AND THEY ARE TREATED SO UNFAIR THEN GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY. LIFE IS NOT FAIR SO QUIT CRYING AROUND ABOUT IT. AND PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HOW THE MINORITYS CANT FIND A JOB GIVE ME A BREAK THEY CAN GET ONE BEFORE A WHITE PERSON CAN. OBAMA IS A RACIST AS IS AL SHARPTON AS IS JESSY JACKSON I COULD GO ON AND ON. SO CRY ME A RIVER.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2008 at 03:38 PM
The media is for the democratic ticket and they love OBAMA . Fox News is fair to both ,that is the only news I watch .GO FOX NEWS.

Posted by: Fair and Balanced on Oct 30, 2008 at 03:34 PM
Why isn't the media talking about the Sarah Palin "effigy"? Obama is a liar and can't pass the test. McCain has already been tested and he is an honest man. The media is so biased that it makes me sick. I just pray that people will stand up on November 4th and vote for McCain. This country will be headed for a fall with Obama, Reid and Pelosi as a 3 headed monster running this country. The newspeople need to spend less time worrying about Palin's wardrobe and more time figuring out what Nobama really stands for.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2008 at 02:56 PM
Rona, perhaps you should use a dictionary. Racism is defined as "the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races". Your statement "There is no racism inherent in lashing out at an Anglo Saxon" is 100% wrong. If you lash out at anyone because of their race or culture, it is racism, plain and simple.

***GO OBAMA!!! ***

Posted by: Dlush on Oct 30, 2008 at 01:53 PM
This is in response to Dlish: Acutally, if you recall, back in the "days of old" they did hang WHITE MEN & WOMEN when they were falsely accused of black magic or being witches. The number was far greater than that of african americans hung in trees over the years. I do believe that this was a very distasteful act, as was the McCain & Palin act. By the way, I am voting Obama, unlike Michele, I believe he will bring America out of this mess BUSH has put us in. GO OBAMA!!!!!!

Posted by: Linda on Oct 30, 2008 at 01:29 PM
The reason that "black people" are taking offense to this is because they have lived in fear for so many years, and it's still going on. I take offense and I'm white. We don't know what's it's like to be the minority because we came to this country we took it from the Indians and forced them out. We need to realize that we are becoming the minority and deal with this not by ignorance! My vote will be for Obama. So I hoope that they find who done this and punish them accordingly! Who said that just because you're white means your right?

Posted by: Meinda on Oct 30, 2008 at 01:00 PM
You know there are alot of people who are racist and immature it shouldn't be about your skin color it should be about who you are inside. Everyone appologizes to the obama family when idiots do something stupid but why isn't anyone appologizing about hanging sarah palin by a rope how come nothing was ever said about that? Because she's white? This COUNTRY NEEDS TO LEARN TO GET ALONG WE ARE ALL FAMILY TO GOD AND ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE US. EVERYONE NEEDS TO GROW UP HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THIS HAPPENED TO SOMEONE IN YOUR FAMILY WOULD IT BE JOKES THEN?

I AM SO SICK OF THE WHOLE "BLACK" CARD!! GOOD GOD PEOPLE, LET IT GO. WE ARE ALL AMERICANS!! NOW, I AM NOT SAYING THIS BECAUSE I AM FOR OBAMA! I AM DEFINITLY NOT FOR OBAMA! I DON'T THINK THAT THIS MAN HAS ANY BUSINESS BEING OUR PRESIDENT, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, I'M AFRAID HE WILL BE. BUT FOR THE HANGING OF THE "OBAMA", LET IT GO, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS SAID, WHEN THE GUYS "HUNG" PALIN, THEY WERE JUST ASKED TO TAKE IT DOWN. NOW WE FIND ONE OF OBAMA AND LOOK OUT BECAUSE SOMEONE IS GOING TO PAY. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE TO ME. AFRICAN AMERICANS ARE ALWAYS SAYING THEY WANT TO BE TREATED EQUAL-WELL HERE YOU GO- WE ARE EQUAL!!! I PERSONALLY THINK, THAT THESE PEOPLE THAT HAVE DONE THIS, ARE TRULY STUPID! BUT WHAT IS DONE IS DONE! LIKE I SAID-LET IT GO!!!!!!!!

Hey, it's Halloween. When else would you find masks that look like our presidential candidates? Some students got bored or intoxicated(more like it) and decided to pull a prank. Although it was a little too far to hang him from a tree. Should have hung him from a dorm window.

Posted by: Actually... on Oct 30, 2008 at 12:29 PM
Obama is BI-RACIAL, therefore, the students hung a dummy of a "black" and "white" man. Secondly, just because ignorant people from the 1950's & 60's like SENATOR BYRD (former member of the KKKK) chose to hang and lynch African American's does not make hanging anyone black, white, red, yellow, or green a racist crime. It is wrong for ANY University to punish students for hanging any kind of "Doll" "EFFIGY" unless their campus has a restriction on it. Last time I read the Constitution it did not say anything about: WE THE PEOPLE CAN NOT HANG DOLLS FROM A ROPE NO MATTER WHO IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!! Get a grip people.

Posted by: April on Oct 30, 2008 at 12:11 PM
To Mom of 4 I think the point people are trying to make is that nothing anyone does to John McCain or Sarah Palin is a big deal to the media. Do you think Obama would do for our country what John McCain did when he was a POW?? That is the kind of man we need in the White House. Not one that won't even admit who he's friends with because it might lose him a vote, a man who took beating after beating to keep his fellow prisoners from being beat. You people who only want Obama because he is promising to fix everything are clueless. I wonder how Obama would handle 9/11? I pray we never find out, but I don't think he's half the man Bush is. He's not perfect but he's also not the devil.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2008 at 12:07 PM
Obama is a dark skinned man, but to be running on the fact that he is a BLACK American is a crock considering his mother was a WHITE woman. If he wins he wins, but to win simply because he's not Bush and because he's an African American is a joke...since he's NOT!

Posted by: Charlie on Oct 30, 2008 at 11:47 AM
This person or persons who did this needs to be prosecuted .

Posted by: Dlish on Oct 30, 2008 at 11:38 AM
I think the Palin and McCain effigies some people are mentioning received similar media attention and equal outrage. Perhaps, rightly so. That said, I don't recall reading in history books that women or old men were hanged or burned in the American South.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2008 at 11:35 AM
to all the idiots that are commenting on what they think, well stop thinking. u sound stupid. And FYI the person did put up the effigy of the republican party, he had to take it down too and that was his private property. So its only right that this was taken down promptly.

Why is is SOOOO TERRIBLE that someone has an Obama effigy and there is nothing wrong with a Sarah Palin effigy and John McCain burning????? The blacks in this country are always so quick to yell discrimination - what about the discrimination that goes along with being white? It happens all the time. Hiring, promotions, quotas, etc. Give me a break!!! I've said it before, if you don't like things here, go back to Africa - DUH -I and a lot of other people think you've got it made here! and by the way NOBAMA 2008!!!

Posted by: Amy on Oct 30, 2008 at 09:57 AM
Do people really think that this sort of thing wouldn't happen? Racism is still alive and well all over this country there's no denying it. Those who think it's not are just living with their heads in the sand.

Posted by: Try-to-stay-Positive on Oct 30, 2008 at 09:56 AM
If you people would put half the energy in educating yourself on Obama's views rather than criticizing and down-grading him you will find that you will feel proud of your vote. Regardless of whom you vote for there should be no reason for you to waste your time and energy speaking negatively about the other party. The American people can form their own opinion from each of the candidates. They do not need your help especially with hatred criticism. If the pessimistic people would keep their mouth shut then true opinions can formed and regardless of whom you vote for you can justify it with that party’s beliefs rather than their sex or their race.

THERE IS NO OPPRESSED MINORITY ANYMORE AND FOR THOSE THAT THINK THERE IS GET A JOB, GET OFF WELFARE AND THEN YOU CAN HAVE A OPINION. I AM TIRED OF FINANCING SOMEBODY ELSE'S FREE RIDE AND THEN LISTENING TO THEM COMPLAIN OF HOW BAD THEY HAVE IT. THEY GO OUT AND HAVE 5-10 KIDS AND WANT SOMEBODY ELSE TO WORK AND PAY FOR THEM PAY FOR YOUR OWN KIDS. I THOUGHT WE ALREADY SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND WE ALREADY GIVE MINORITYS A PLACE TO LIVE, MEDICAL CARD, FOOD ON THEIR TABLE, CLOTHES FOR THEIR KIDS, AND PAY THERE BILLS IS THAT NOT ENOUGH OR SHOULD WE CUT OFF A ARM OR LEG FOR YA. OPPRESSED MINORITY PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK.

If you are a proud democrat, R Mullins, then you should support your democratic candidate Obama. Go ahead and vote for the Republican party (McCain) and keep the WV substandard education system alive. Maybe our kids will be able to spell as good as you and have the equivalent analysis on illegal aliens.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2008 at 09:28 AM
Our country does still have active racism the only difference is it is against the whites. This hate crime stuff is a bunch of bull a crime is a crime. We live in a free county with freedom of speech and freedom to think how ever we want to think. I am so sick of all the minorities saying how they are always getting treated so bad, get over it. I sure this comment wont get put on anyway because it will be considered a racist comment. My point made.

Posted by: Mark on Oct 30, 2008 at 09:14 AM
This is such a double standard. A figure of Palin (A White Person) remains hung by a noose. If this had been a black person there would have been arrests and a media frenzy. Our supreme court ruled that it would be illegal to hang a figure of a black person only, so you may freely hang a figure of any other race that you choose. I have a suprise for everyone, black folks are not the only one who have been hung in the past. There were just as many if not more whites that have been hung. This is really sickening and should anger whites about the double standard. Like Obama saying things like "The white mans greed runs a world in need" and calling His own grandmother a "typical white person". Such racist comments would never be accepted by a white canditate.

The Palin "incident" took place at a mans home. He had the "freedom of speech" think working for him but, as I understand, this Obama thing was just hanging in a tree on campus. Who ever done it should have been man (or woman) enough to hang it on THEIR porch or dorm window and then they could have claimed "free speech". OBAMA 08!

Why is it alright to hang Sarah Palin and put Mccain in flames and it is considered a Halloween stunt and then this is considered a hate crime??? I just think this is a DOUBLE standard.....if they are free to disgrace the WOMAN and her FAMILY why is it a crime to do the same?? I know that BOTH are hate crimes in MY opinion and NOT a direction our country should be going, but to punish ONE and not the other for EXACT same crimes....well, hmm that is NOT a democracy!!

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2008 at 06:21 AM
Rodger, It doesn't matter if Obama was born on the moon his mother was a natural born American citizen, meaning he could be born anywhere in the world and he himself is still a natural born American citizen. Which is the requirement that needs to be met to run for President. Based on you philosphy I guess we should ship out John McCain too seeing how he was born in Panama.

Posted by: Rona on Oct 30, 2008 at 12:15 AM
There is no such thing as "reverse racism." Please research the meaning of terms before making foolish statements. Racism is by hard definition, the persecution of an oppressed minority. There is no "racism" inherent in lashing out at an Anglo Saxon. Anglo Saxons have invaded and viciously oppressed most of the planet's peoples at one time or another. Their viewpoints, policies and holidays are the centrepoint of North American and UK society. You can "fight back" against Anglos, you can "protest" Anglo policy----but you cannot be "racist" towards them. Please use your dictionary and encyclopedia.

Posted by: anonymous on Oct 30, 2008 at 12:10 AM
i hardly see it fit for us "mere mortals" to chime in about who is fit to run for president, whether it be the man who spent time in isolation for his country or a differnt man who spent time in the midst of a very real situation in Washington, dealing with law and making things happen. most of the comments on this site seem to be so overly personal, and underly educated as to what the facts are. politics are tactical chess games that most of us are not able to sit in on. However, we can acknowledge that a hateful act such as hanging an effigy from a tree of Palin, or Obama, is in poor taste and reflects a barbaric sort of sad mentality. Anyone that needs to resort to this type of gross neglect in relation the freedom of speech, should not really even be considered a functioning member of society. this is not free speech, it is just plain stupid. and I am sick of seeing anyone who mistreats thier constitutional rights get press time. Weak!

crazy, it's 2008 and this is election is about race.. you got the nutty mccain supporters who don't like him because he's black and the obamaniacs who support him because he's black... nevermind he's a zbrezinski puppet. they got you all in the bag.. nothing but a bunch of fools all around.

Posted by: Will on Oct 29, 2008 at 11:23 PM
Hmmm. Let's see. One good reason that I can think of that an effigy of Palin is less offensive is because white women weren't ACTUALLY being hung from trees in recent history. Go Obama!!!

Posted by: Jody on Oct 29, 2008 at 10:38 PM
Curious to why it is ok to hang a Palin and not an Obama?

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 29, 2008 at 10:22 PM
Obama can see Chicago from his house! That makes him qualified to be Pres lol

Posted by: whatsfair on Oct 29, 2008 at 10:20 PM
So...it's "free speech" to hang an effigy of Sarah Palin, but "criminal" to hang one of Obama? How fair is that? Can we say: reverse racism???

Posted by: Anon on Oct 29, 2008 at 09:22 PM
Of course, I don't recall this happening during any previous presidential elections, even when the candidate shared the same views as Obama, so you pretty much have to assume that either race is a factor, or that this new generation of voters is a lot more immature than the last.

Posted by: Bryan on Oct 29, 2008 at 08:55 PM
Get over it. This is a true sign of the lack of educated minds trying to further thier education before understanding the basics of history. It all stems from a time in the past that nobody can say they experienced. Not race, just heritage B.S. only confirms ignorance in a time that we need to concentrate more on our future as a country rather than the skin color of a presidential candidate in "2008". ALL races have thier defective ones that the world would be better off without and unfortunately we are stuck with them. As a white man I am embarrassed, as an American I am angry, and as a veteran I have seen the good and bad of most races and this is another "Don't Use Drugs" poster child. We have two types of human beings in our great nation and they are American and non American. Last time I checked one of these are a presidential candidate requirment. Besides, I think we need to try something new and five minutes of CNN will give you five minutes of different reasons.

What is the difference between this and the one that was done of Sarah Palin. No one is raising such a conflict over it. And now people want to say this is Hate Crime.I dont agree with either one being done but dont try to point the bad out in one and not in the other. Both should be hate crime or both should be freedom of speech. Being a woman and skin color should make a difference.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 29, 2008 at 08:20 PM
now now boys will be boys wonder how much they got paid to do this?

Posted by: Mark on Oct 29, 2008 at 08:17 PM
If Obama wins it is a farce!! What has he done? where has he been? if you vote for him you might as well have voted for the local mayor to run for president. NO EXPERIENCE!!!!

Posted by: DonnaB on Oct 29, 2008 at 08:13 PM
Why is it that when someone does or says something to a white person nothing is said or done about it, but lord forbid we should say anything about a black man. We have to watch our every move anymore and for what? We didn't do anything to those people back in history but we have to pay for what they did. Its not fair!!!

Shame is what I feel for these people. 549pm - The McCain-Palin effigy was covered nationally.

Free Speech-disclaimer "not for conservatives' this, Again, another reason Obama shouldn't be elected. Someone does this about Palin, and very little is said... Someone does it about Obama and the world goes crazy... Get over it world. It isn't about race, color, or creed. It is about beliefs, ideas, morals, and ability

Doesn't suprise me,alot of people don't want him in office.Have you seen the tv lately?Do we know really what obama is about???????I think we'll see more of this behavior.Talk is cheap!

Posted by: Cate on Oct 29, 2008 at 07:05 PM
im with sick 2 death. i don't no why obama got in the news for this. people talk about how we should not judge people by there skin color. but what r they going now. it only got on the new because he is a afican america. if the happen to mccain it would have a liitle story in the news and never be repeated. go mccain

Response to Mark: The reason this is covered is because it happened near here. Obviously the Palin hanging was covered, or you wouldn't have heard about it, since it happened in L.A. And by the way, your PC comment doesn't make since, since females are still a "minority" even if she is Caucasian.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 29, 2008 at 06:12 PM
Just glad this didn't happen at WVU, or else it would be national or international news.

Posted by: bill on Oct 29, 2008 at 06:11 PM
oh wow a effigy of a white person is hung in a tree and no charges but a black erson is and there looking like crazy for the peple who did it now tell me how racist is that and thats not the only thing racist why is it that they can give collage scolarships to black people JUST FOR BEING BLACK? now tell me whos the racists or "haters" the people that hung this or the people who give out things for you just being black or African American as some people call it you know what its almost like there making u feel ashamed for just being white

Hey Mike The candidate running on the Republican Ticket is John McCain, not George W. Bush. I am sick to death of hearing this crap. Bush hasn't been the greatest but he has kept this country safe since 911 and him being blamed for the countries financial woes is nonsense being the botox democrats have been in control of congress for the past two years. Get over it McCain is not Bush just as Obama is not a know terrorist, he just associates with them.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 29, 2008 at 05:49 PM
I agree with Mark, why didn't the Sarah Palin Effigy recieve coverage. It seems anyone can do and say anything to McCain and Palin, but if even a serious question is asked of Obama or Biden the person who asked (Joe the Plumber) is persecuted and drug thru the mud. I am sick of the media pampering the democratic ticket. The LA Times needs to release the Video of Obama. The media needs to get a backbone and do what's right for the country.

Why a hanging Obama? Retaliation for a hanging Sarah Palin! Why didn't you cover that news WSAZ? I'm sick to death of every freakin news organization slanting coverage to their cause. What about non bias reporting? Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS everyone has an agenda and I'm sick to death of it! report the facts and let the pieces fall where they may! Go McCain! not in love with the man or the campaign but a vote for Barack Hussein Obama is a vote against what this country has fought so hard to protect! NOBAMA in 08

To Wandering: what a beautiful racist rant sprinkled with misspelled words and false "facts". Our current president has brought only war and poverty, and McCain would be more of the same. We certainly need a change.

My daughter attends UK and I feel that being a Christian that someone to do that only shows their ignorance. Actually the Baptist Student Group is having a march on Friday to support non-hate crimes. I feel as Americans we need to pray for those individuals who did this on campus. Joke or no joke, they need punished.

Actually the incident with Sarah Palin and McCain made it to CNN. I read it on there this morning. Dont worry they are getting better coverage.

Posted by: disgusted on Oct 29, 2008 at 04:58 PM
In response to Wandering, I also wonder what the world is coming to when people make inane remarks such as the ones made by you. You obviously only read those things that are negative about Obama and believe them all. I have several relatives living in Georgia and the reference about Bibles being collected was a result of a religious fanatic who simply make it up. Look for some facts!

Posted by: candace clark on Oct 29, 2008 at 04:58 PM
It is sad to think there are still people that choose to judge someone by color of skin. I am a christian and know God made all of us in his image. That includes african americans. I choose to not judge because that is what the BIBLE says.

Posted by: Mark on Oct 29, 2008 at 04:40 PM
Why didn't the same incident regarding the effigy of Sarah Palin receive the same coverage? Because it is not PC to criticize anyone but caucasians.

Posted by: wandering on Oct 29, 2008 at 04:38 PM
what is this world comeing too well one thing is a end.but this is all fullfilling the bible about a man who will be are leader from musslim belive that everyone would look up to like he was a god well it this does not sound like what we are faceing and it talks about a anti christ and if obama cannot stand in front of the american flag and I ask u how can he do america fair and run this great country I am not a racist so please dont start that I have black people in my family and they are good people and they should not be treated any different than we would want to be treated but I do wonder where this nation is headed we should all pray I feel that it is almost over did anyone read an artical in a georgia newspaper where obama would collect all bibles in peoples homes if he was elected and are bibles would be replaced with the musselim bible, and he wants to open up all borders wander what that is for it will make u get the bible down and read let us pray hard I beg U NOW IS TIME,
