Still no leads in Charleston Murder

Police in Charleston continue to investigate the murder of 17-year-old Hakeem Brown, who was shot in the back and in the head early Monday morning.

Officials say their biggest problem is finding people who will talk to them about what they know or heard about murder. They say neighbors are too afraid to talk because they are afraid that they too will become a target for murder.

Sargeant Aaron James of the Charleston Police Department said neighbors are not giving them any help.

"There's no cooperation there.," Sgt. James said. "They don't want to give names, and they don't want to help in any way."

Police have talked to some people who have information about Brown's murder, but they need a lot more help.

Neighbors blame this shooting and several other on drugs, but so far police have not found any evidence that this murder was a drug-related shooting.
