"I'm Lovin' It! " It's the latest in a long line of McDonalds' slogans. Now McDonald’s is betting you'll love their new restaurant style. It's a massive McDonald’s makeover that's designed to bring the fast food giant into the future and its customers along with it.

But, with an ever changing and expanding menu toward healthier food choices, the corporation is making some big design changes that are already taking place locally.

These restaurant makeovers are nothing new. Bob Evans did it a few years ago. Burger King, Taco Bell and Wendy’s have all undergone transformations of their own.

McDonald’s is revolutionizing it's look from the inside out. Jere Gilpin is the Local Director of Development for 13 McDonalds in the Huntington and Ashland area.

Jere says, “It is a national movement to give McDonald's a new look and bring it into the future and we're right there with it.”

This new location in Ashland on Winchester Avenue is a prime example. It just re-opened after the company tore it down three months ago and started from scratch.

The Ashland location is considered a transitional building, a design somewhere between the old and the new. The restaurant on 5th Avenue in Huntington, near Marshall University, is moving all the way to the new. It just closed for demolition and in three months, a totally futuristic building will stand in its place.

The outer changes are really a small part of the new McDonald’s. Inside, you'll find posh new interiors reminiscent of a cozy living room. Customers will also notice a softer lighting, flat screen televisions and an interior design more attractive to the whole family.

The new McDonalds' are also featuring the double drive thru and they're preparing to feature a new product that will go nicely with their new building design.
