A Huntington police officer and former Marshall football player needs your help.

Officer Curt Nethercutt's wife was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

So his fellow officers along with Kindred Communication will hold a fund raising auction in August.

All proceeds will go to the Nethercutt Family Benefit Fund.

Sergeant Ray Cornwell, Huntington Police Department, said "If we can get him a little bit of time relief so he can take some time off to spend with his family to see to their needs. They have three children. The oldest, Jessica, is a special needs child and requires 24 hour care. They have a four-year-old named Megan and an 11-month-old named Jerod."

The Nethercutt Fundraiser will be Friday, August 11th from 6pm until 8 pm in the Big Green room at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

It features donations from local businesses and NFL items donated by former Herd players.
