CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia is about to get an idea of how the state's economy may fare amid the national housing crisis and financial meltdown.

Economics professor George Hammond is due to deliver West Virginia University's annual economic forecast Tuesday in Charleston. The presentation typically includes a national economic overview and a report on state revenue projections, among other things.

This year's forecast will focus on how the state's economy will fare with much of the rest of the country facing tough times.
