RIO GRANDE, Ohio (WSAZ) --The University of Rio Grande is losing its president.

The Board of Trustees announced Friday that Gregory Sojka has submitted his resignation, effective December 1st.

No reason was given for his resignation.

Sojka has served the university since January of 2006, first as interim president and then as president.

Board Chairman Don Wood says Rio Grande is in the process of conducting a search for a new president, who is expected to be named next summer.

In the interim, Chief Operating Officer Paul Harrison will assume the duties of president.

Sorry to see Greg go, Rio needs to get their act in gear. The University and the CC Boards need to agree to disagree and get on with the act of education..like the forefather and founder wanted
