Elderly Woman's Van Stolen

Two men are now under arrest for stealing a van from an elderly woman in Athens County.

20-year-old Kevin Mehl from Nelsonville and 28-year-old Greg Kuhn of Columbus got caught with the van.

Police say they were dropped off in the Hollister area to buy drugs and their ride took off, so they stole the van to get back to Columbus.

There is a twist though, they stole the van from Irene Tomlin, who happens to be older than 65.

That adds a new charge of theft from the elderly.

It's a law to protect senior citizens.
