WASHINGTON (AP) - The House has passed legislation to speed $14 billion in emergency loans to the imperiled U.S. auto industry.

Democrats and the White House hope the bill can be enacted by week's end, but it's still in jeopardy from Republican senators who are strongly opposed.

Now I have helped bailout banks, insurance companies and now maybe the auto industry. Soon my taxes will bail out people who bought houses with loans that were stupid. If I lose my job, the WV unemployment benefits will only pay 66% of a salary that is 33% of mine! Why not have the bailout money to go those who paid majority of the taxes, but have now lost their jobs? Those are the middle class people that need help. It is our tax money and we should not have to take it anymore! It is time the public speaks up and make it known that we will not take it anymore. As for the teacher comment, my wife is a teacher and has no problem with drug testing. Her only problem is that she doesn't trush Kanawha county to get a good lab.
