SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A WSAZ e-Reporter captured photos of a house fire in northern Kanawha County Monday night.

The fire broke out at an abandoned house in the 7300 block of Sissonville Drive near Legg Fork in Sissonville at about 10 p.m.

Firefighters with the Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department say the house was the location of a previous meth lab -- and that it had been boarded up.

No one was hurt.

Abandoned houses are an open invitation for trouble. I do not find it surprising that it burned considering that it used to be a Meth lab and would bet money that someone who lived nearby did it to ensure it was not used as a drug house again.

And the verdict is? Another lab...?

Sounds like it may have been cheaper to have an arsonist take care of it than to pay to get it tore down the right way.
