Murder Victim's Father Charged with Domestic Violence

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Ricky David Gravely, the father of Nalisha Gravely, is in jail charged with domestic battery.

Ricky Gravely was arrested Saturday at an apartment on Charleston's west side.

Police say Gravely slapped his girlfriend in the face and attempted to strangle her with a belt.

His daughter, Nalisha, was murdered this past summer at the Taco Bell on Patrick Street. Desmond Clark has been charged with her murder and is scheduled to go to trial on March 30, 2009.

Charleston Police say Clark had a history of domestic violence against Nalisha prior to her murder.
