1 cup Sushi, Calrose or short grain rice (cooked)
2 Tbsp butter
Non-stick cooking spray
2 tsp minced ginger (more or less to taste)
2 tsp minced garlic (more or less to taste)
1/4 cup rice cooking wine (optional)
1/4 cup original or lite soy sauce
4 Tbsp sesame seeds
On medium-high heat, spray pan, and melt butter, then add garlic and ginger. Stir garlic and ginger for 1-2 minutes, then add the cooked rice, and fold in the garlic and ginger. Add the wine (it will sizzle). Keep mixing the rice, and allow for the wine to cook off (about 2-3 minutes). Reduce heat to medium-low. Add in soy sauce, spiraling the soy sauce in a circle, starting outside, and then working towards the center. Mix soy sauce in, and then add in sesame seeds.
Other ingredients such as chopped eggs, mushrooms, vegetables, chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu can be added to the rice.
Serves 4-6 people as a side dish.
