KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ)-Curvy roads caused an accident in Chelyan Sunday evening.
Police say the driver of a silver car was heading west on Route 61 and hit another car head on.
The accident caused the road, along with the Coalsburg railroad crossing to be closed for a 30 minutes while crews cleared the scene.
No one was hurt in the accident.
The woman in the silver car told police she is not from the area and simply wasn't expecting such a sharp curve.

I drive this road daily. There needs to be signs and lines painted on the roads on Rt. 61. If it is dark, it is very difficult to see where you are going.

I drive these roads all the time and it is a curvy road for me as well. I can't imagine being from out of town driving them in the dark. Some signs there would be nice to alert people of the road ahead cause it gets more curvy the farther you go on 61.
