KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Metro 911's board members voted Thursday afternoon to keep the current random drug testing policy.

The decision comes after a federal judge halted a similar drug testing policy in Kanawha County Schools. The judge called the policy unconstitutional. The Metro 911 board voted to intervene in the lawsuit against Kanawha County Schools.

The random drug testing policy at Metro 911 has been in place for more than a year.

Why are Kanawha county teachers fighting against drug testing? If you dont have anything to hide you wouldnt care. Also why should teachers be any different than any one else that has to take a drug test in the work force.

I think that they should drug test the teachers also, why drug test only certain ones. There are kids going to school seeing that it is ok for a teacher to be high on God knows what. And then we wonder why are kids haven't learned anything at school. Please if there was no drugs involved then they have nothing to worry about the ones that are against it is the ones doing it.
