CATLETTSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) — A Boyd County man is under arrest on drug trafficking charges.
The Sheriff’s Office says it received information that 43-year old Dee Anthony Mauk had been traveling to Florida to obtain prescription drugs. It also had information that Mauk had just sold ten 30mg Oxycodone pills for $300.
During a search of his home Wednesday night, deputies found pill bottles from Florida along with money, ledgers and needles.

This is a very big problem around here and everywhere. I personally have lost family and friends due to this Florida crap. They say zero tolerance but yet the sellers get right back out on probation and beat the system. the addicts do more time than the dealers because they don't have the means to get out. If we could get affordable drug treatment around here I believe that would help alot.

Posted by: next door to jailbirds on Jan 9, 2009 at 03:51 PM IF YOU PEOPLE want to help stop all this dope dealing, the next time youre neighbors has all these cars running in an out pick up the phone an call the police dept. And tell them you dont want to tell them youre name but you think the people next door is selling drugs, and watch what happens after that. the law must have changed because they can search these houses if they suspect they are selling dope, dial *67 then the number. One does not have to give a name to report drug activity like cars in and out, nor to report things like folks sitting in a car snorting pills in plain sight. And no the law has not changed, they can only search with occupant permission of a home, or if someone bought from there for law enforcement. But either way, keep calling about drug activity, cause one of two things will happen, they will either get busted or after the cops have been there enough, they will be to afraid to continue selling.
