KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Kanawha County humane officer has been suspended.
County officials tell WSAZ.com he was found with drug paraphernalia in a county car. Sheriff's deputies stopped him near East Bank at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
The humane officer was not on duty, so deputies were suspicious. No charges have been filed until an investigation is finished, but the officer has been suspended indefinitely.
He works for the Upper Kanawha Valley Mayor’s Association.
Deputies say they're working to determine if criminal activity took place.

he was tested, and it came back clean, thats what they're not telling you and also, the paraphernalia was found on the GIRL, and they're not telling you that either. They're making it seem like he's a drug addict, but have to proof to bake it! only thing he did wrong was have a person in the county vehicle! it's not his personal vehicle. There blowing it way out there and they need to just fire him for breaking the rules and leave him alone!
No one said he was sent to jail..... it did say it was paraphernalia in the car, did not say it was HIS, why would he have a girl in the car with drugs anyway? I say test him....... if it shows up then fire him..... it is not a personal car...
i go with b on this one! reporters need to ge it right before they get in trouble for slander!!
