MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia University has big plans for celebrating Charles Darwin's 200th birthday.
Beginning in February and continuing through early April, the university will present a series of lectures, displays, skits and other events as part of DarwinFest.
The celebration will examine the naturalist's work, from his travels to his influential theory on evolution.
Darwin was born Feb. 12, 1809. He is known for his theory of evolution as outlined in his 1859 book, "On the Origin of Species."

Regardless of whether Darwin had a true revelation of Jesus Christ or not is not the issue, but rather the eternal issue for each one of us. You can run from the inner conscious and longing of your heart all you want, but deep down you know that you will die. God does exist, and He has made a way of escape from our sins through His Son Jesus Christ. This is a fallen and sinful world, that is why things are the way they are. They will be restored to pre-fall conditions with the final destruction of Satan and evil in the last days. Repent, be ready, your sins can be forgiven! Love in Jesus, Doug

Weither you believe in God or not, your fields of argument are insane-and you are ill representatives of both sides. To the faithful in God-you have resorted to name calling and arrogance both of which none can be brought to salvation. to the faithful in Darwin-you have not studied enough to understand the sovereignty of the God they believe in-if you did you wouldn't argue with them because you would realize that asking them to renounce God is like asking them to stop breathing. Both of you have had an experience of revelation to believe passionately, both of you operate in faith in order to believe in what you do, and both of you have not shown yourself to be mature enough to discuss this without resorting to childlike foolishness. If you really believed and trusted, hoped in and relied on what you say you do-you would meet in the cafeteria at 10am on the first Friday in February with the only standing rule is that you come to talk-not to argue-then we will see who is mature.

To all those people that belive in a Fairy Tale like GOD or a Book called the Bible. I don't need you to pray for me, most of you people that live in the Tri-State area are to FAT to get down on your knees to do anything,Unless there is a piece of your BIG MACS that fell to the floor. I'm just thankful I moved to this area with my husband who is a teacher at MU from Cleveland,Ohio.
