Power Restored in Huntington
A.E.P. says more than 3,300 customers were without power earlier this morning . Several schools remain closed.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- More than 3,300 customers were without electricity earlier this morning in Huntington.

A spokesperson for American Electric Power say they don't know the cause of the outage at this time. Power was restored around 7:30. The outage was reported around 5:30.

This power outage has closed Highlawn Elementary, Enslow Middle School and St. Joe Elem. and High School. Staff still needs to report at Highlawn and Enslow.

A Marshall University spokesperson say parts of the campus were also without power. All classes are on schedule. Power was restored to Marshall University shortly after 7:30.

yeah couldnt even shower before work and people kept talking about the 'stank" as im now known as, thanks to good ole aep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad they got their power back on. I live in Ashland and ours went off for a second and come back on, and I hope we dont end up losing ours.
